What do you expect? This pandemic threw everything into a loop.

The brief announcement is probably going to be about why this one took so long and the rest of the fighters being delayed with it lasting into 2022.

The pass doesn't really need to be delayed. They might delay it, I'm not discounting the possibility. But, assuming CP7 comes out this month (which it probably will, I'm thinking the full Presents and release will be next week), they'd be on track for roughly four months between releases of the remaining fighters. Might seem weird with how long it took us to just get two characters, but they still have a very generous timeframe left.

Before Pushdustin changed his translation to a more accurate one, I was legit thinking Sora or Geno, but now that he corrected himself, could be anyone. The voice actor retweet definitely raises an eyebrow, and ArcSys has already done **** with Smash in the form of a Spirit Event, so it's definitely something to keep an eye on, but nothing's confirmed atm.

Yeah I forgot about Rex & Pyra until I saw the post above mine mention them, which is weird since I enjoyed XC2 and wouldn’t mind their inclusion at all. I guess my brain was focused on making that Danganronpa 2 joke

Too many. I'd have to write a novel of a post to list them all. My current most wanted songs would be some of the glaring omissions, like Chemical Plant Zone, Kanto Elite 4, Burn My Dread, Life Will Change... If I had to pick one relating to a possible newcomer, it would be Beware the Forest's Mushrooms.

But I'll stop here before I list 200 more.

and forgot who has a longstay Fan power since smash speculation is now just flavor of the month over flavor of the month beside like 2 or 4 characters

The biggest long term supports still missing are, in my opinion, Geno, Isaac and Waluigi. Third-party characters have long been sidelined from the speculation scene because it was a Nintendo game, therefore some of the strongest third party supports nowadays not being that strong in the past (Geno is an anomaly).
