Lets see, the tournaments from February to June... (just to cover all bases):What were the tourneys pre-Min Min just to entertain this theory?
(NA name / EU name)
1. Some Training, Professor? / Teach Us, Teach! Weapon Training (Feb 7th. Axe, bow, lance users)
2. Hailing from the '90s / Fighting in the Nineties (Feb 21st. Yea.)
3. Spiky Vs. Round? The Ultimate Battle / Spiky VS Round? The Ultimate Battle (March 6th, exactly what it says)
4. Stop Hitting Yourself! (Match 20th, Reflectors and projectiles)
5. Brawl Veterans Represent! / Brawl or Nothing! (April 10th, yup.)
6. Screw Up Your Opponents! / In For a Spin (April 17th, Screw Attack)
7. Series Clash! DK Vs. Kirby! / Series Clash! DK VS Kirby! (May 1st. Yes.)
8. Shocking Power! (May 15th, characters with electric special attacks)
9. Triforce Tryouts (May 28th, yaaar.)
10. The Year Is 200X (June 12th, the possible Mega Man reference without Mega Man in it)
That theory holds no water, not with reflectors, electric attacks and Spiky / Round weaponry already featured in tournaments before Min Min showed up with those traits.

I've waited long, I can wait some more, but I can feel some of the tension that's around xD It just feels like it should be soon. But I still feel good about next week. And plus it'd align with our mathematician's average prediction of the 4th.

Actually it's better than that; the entire remainder of Fighter's Pass 2 is shadowdropping tomorrow. They've been developing every single DLC character all along. We will truly never have to wait again.

DLC Fighter 7 dropping the week of 10/12-10/16 would make some good sense.
You've got Crown Tundra releasing 10/22
You've got pikmin coming out 10/30
If you make the announcement for a 'Sakurai Presents' this Friday (10/2), the presentation itself can be next week (10/5-10/9) with the character releasing the following week (10/12-10/16) and you'll essentially have something for players to look forward to at least once a week for the month of October.

But the catch is that they expire on December next year for people who didn’t buy them, because Nintendo’s gonna save ‘em for a Deluxe edition 6 months later

It kinda has to be, considering Nintendo's marketing at the moment.
This is the first time now where we have nothing confirmed to be coming or in need of advertising in the next two weeks, the only thing they could do is shadow drop another game ala Kirby Fighter's 2.

Even if this Min Min post expiring thing means nothing, I still believe we could get an announcement this week for a Sakurai Presents. I am not going to count this week out yet.
