Because the best option from base XC2 is MoragWhy are you wording that like a bad thing that is unironically the best possible option
I Probably did, But why not ask again to get more opinionsDidn't you already ask this? And why would it be a "ransom"?
I actually think they may do that later onI Probably did, But why not ask again to get more opinions
and I say ransom, since Ransom has a negative connotation to it. Because you can only get the Rex Costume by paying $25 for the Fighter Pass, it is kind of like a Ransom
Plus as someone that Does not care if Rex gets in (I'm not into Rex at all), I kinda feel bad for their fans considering in order to get his costume, they had to get a Fighter Pass that had Byleth in it. Considering Byleth game came later than Rex's, and Rex's game being too late was the stated reason why he was made a Mii Costume, it just seemed like a Slap in the face when Byleth was revealed. It was one of the first thigs I said when I saw the byleth Reveal (Why was Rex cut?)
Of course I now there's more to the story than just that, but it's still kind of wrong that Rex Costume is held up at Ransom. If theu are not gonna make Rex Playable, they should at least make the costume Purchasable separately,
Regardless, it wasn't because he hates Rex. It was to make you feel special for getting the pass rather than buying characters individually.I Probably did, But why not ask again to get more opinions

I thought it was just an ARMS rep. Had an ARMS rep gotten into base game I think it would have been Spring Man.I believe Sakurai said MinMin was originally supposed to be in the base game, but wasn't because he couldn't figure out how to make the ARMs fighting style work. The point though is the spirit is not a reason why MinMin wasn't even fighters pass like that other person implied. The idea because MinMin's spirit was in the basegame, instead of adding later is the only reason why MinMin was okay to be a fighter is really stupid the more you think about it.
Actually speaking of Spirit Battle Modifications, I wonder which new ones we will get with Whoever FP7 is. Ribbon Girl, Ninjara, and Ryo were the only Spirits affected by Min-Min's update. Ninjara never had a Spirit battle, Ribbon Girl got a stage change, and Ryo was already a mii brawler, but not uses his CostumeI actually think they may do that later on
and update Rex’s Spirit Battle to use a Swordfighter Mii with the costume instead like they do with the Cuphead fights. Of course that would TRULY be the death knell for him, the Spirit Battle modification, but it just be like that sometimes I guess
I realize now that I grossly misunderstood your post. For that and for being rude to you, I apologize.Yes, obviously one must be stretching to imply that non-Nintendo owned characters are inherently different than Nintendo owned characters and that literally one character has been said by Sakurai himself to be a promotional character from a new game, Byleth came from a new game and was decided prior to their game coming out, and Min Min/ARMS was bunched together with a push for ARMS on Switch with special events.
Clearly I am reaching to insinuate that each pick has the common denominator of "bringing new and unique gameplay ideas" when Sakurai literally said it himself at the end of the Byleth presentation. **** me, right?
If they're "stretches", why not say WHY they're stretches than just wave it off and not say why they're stretches?
No need for the "i'm not gonna bother" either, as it insinuates the person you're responding to is unintelligent and is fairly rude. If you're gonna say something in a seemingly passive aggressive way to begin with, then please don't offhandedly disregard somebody's response. Not a good look. Take the time to respond.
Not to mention you're putting words in my mouth about "ignoring potential candidates" when I quite legitimately said the opposite when I said, "Saying a non-promotional character can't/won't happen would be...kinda weird." I don't even see why that was included in your response.
So we want new characters to discuss, eh?
ahem
Tell me more about Falcom. We discussed it earlier in the day but that didn't get very far off the ground, so now I'm drudging it up and I will continue to do so until we properly discuss Adol and Estelle.
And also finally put Disney in their place.Looks like the Microsoft Empire is going to rise soon.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate that and the good grief you gave me. It's not always easy to apologize, especially in a thread that essentially functions as a public space, so again, I really do appreciate this.I realize now that I grossly misunderstood your post. For that and for being rude to you, I apologize.
I don't think you do because it's not how season passes work.Question: If you buy the first Fighter Pass’s fighters separately, would you still get the Rex mii costume?
I used to believe Min Min’s Spirit battle in WoL would either change the character you’re fighting to Min Min herself, or even make it a full on Awakening battle. It’s a shame, the latter would have been dopeActually speaking of Spirit Battle Modifications, I wonder which new ones we will get with Whoever FP7 is. Ribbon Girl, Ninjara, and Ryo were the only Spirits affected by Min-Min's update. Ninjara never had a Spirit battle, Ribbon Girl got a stage change, and Ryo was already a mii brawler, but not uses his Costume
Technically since Cuphead, we haven't gotten a Spirit battle Modification that changes the actual character you're going against. Perhaps they'll introduce modifications with this update, and then I could make theories based of the ones that do get updated
No you wouldn’t, unfortunatelyQuestion: If you buy the first Fighter Pass’s fighters separately, would you still get the Rex mii costume?
Ah, so that's where the Bruhfish comes from, isn't it?View attachment 286490
Well... since you asked.
Here's Estelle in a nutshell:
Also, she likes to fish.Quick rundown on Estelle's character:
Estelle is a Bracer from the land of Liberl, essentially a civilian run militia that operates independently from the government and army and protects the civilians whilst providing services for any and all odd-jobs. She's spunky and enthusiastic, being a loud straightforward tomboy who's pushy, but has a big heart.
As for her combat abilities:
As the protagonist, she's an all-rounder character who doesn't have any apparent weakness, but no huge strengths either. This unfortunately makes her often the weakest on the team, but her flexibility in combat means she can fill any roll you need her to.
Her most notable physical combat trait is that she wields a bo-staff which grants her more range than most of her allies, at least from a physical range. While she's mediocre in terms of damage, she gets the job done with her utility. With this staff she has 5 special attacks (called crafts).
-Comet (She swings her staff and generates a bolt of air that strikes the opponent from afar)
-Hurricane (She spins in a circle and hits enemies around her multiple times)
-Morale (She shouts at her allies, pumping them up and increasing their and her own damage)
-Taunt (She goads the enemy into attacking her only)
-Hard Break (She charges up energy within her staff and then hits you overhead with all her might, interrupting any attacks or spells you may be charging)
Magically, she's also mediocre, though her large MP pool and flexible "learn tree" allows her to wield much of the games' spells (called Arts), even if she is unlikely to use the end-game specialist spells. Since there are so many spells, I'll just go over a few notable ones that they gave her in Trails vs Ys, the crossover fighting game.
-Fire Bolt EX (Tosses multiple fireballs out which home in on enemies)
-Plasma Wave (Summons a line of thunderbolts to travel forward and strike enemies down)
She also has special "super attacks" called S-Crafts which allow her to interrupt an enemy in the middle of their turn and deal intense amounts of damage. They're vital for stealing the enemy's bonuses during combat and turning fatal attacks back at the enemy. As these are cool, I'll spoiler the latter ones in case you're interested in seeing them.
-Pummel (She thrusts forward multiple times before doing a spinning swing)
-Barrage (She does an axe kick on the enemy, thrusts forward multiple times, flip kicks, and does several swings finishing with a charged overhead strike)
-Wheel of Time (She spins so fast she turns into a whirlwind and crashes into the opponent. She then runs circles around the opponent so fast she turns into a blur, striking them endlessly while she circles around the opponent)
Disclaimer, I've only played Trails in the Sky series, though she reportedly makes appearances in future Trails games.
So how would you be able to get the costume if you already bought all the fighters separately?I don't think you do because it's not how season passes work.
No, you're supposed to pay $25 for the fighters and get the costume for free. The Ancient Guardian costume is a lot less of a gut punch, so maybe Sakurai thought "Hmm, maybe the consolation prize wasn't such a good idea after all."So how would you be able to get the costume if you already bought all the fighters separately?
Do you just have to pay 25 bucks for one costume???
I was gonna say "Nah you're just seeing things, that's just Isaac's hair and an orange fighter uniform". But, huh, they actually did it. Guess I never really had any incentive to play that battle after 8.0 released until you said it.
Max from Scribblenautswatch the next fighter be fossil fighter
Technically, you'd pay a total 55 bucks for one costume, due to the 30 from buying all the fighters separately. So how would you be able to get the costume if you already bought all the fighters separately?

The next fighter will be the composite Falcom rep that crams every Falcom character into a single slot and uses all their abilities at once. But since that would make it confusing to have all the different names, they will instead be called "Captain Falcom." Their Final Smash is the Falcom Punch, where they just club you to death with all 62 Falcom employees.watch the next fighter be fossil fighter
ya snooze ya loose i guess shrugIf Axel Stone did get in, I think I'd feel most sorry for the characters from Final Fight. Numerous games on Nintendo consoles and they can't even get spirits, while Streets of Rage releases one genuinely new game on Switch and is suddenly getting in Smash.
Oh you Lord of Sharks, don't you realize that the Ancient Guardian costume was my #1 want because of it's completely, obviously expressive personality? No, you're supposed to pay $25 for the fighters and get the costume for free. The Ancient Guardian costume is a lot less of a gut punch, so maybe Sakurai thought "Hmm, maybe the consolation prize wasn't such a good idea after all."
And one could buy both FP1 and FP2 for ca. $55 IIRC. In other words...Technically, you'd pay a total 55 bucks for one costume, due to the 30 from buying all the fighters separately.

....explain what you mean? It's a real ad, if that's what you're wondering, someone didn't walk into the 7-11 and put it up for ****s and giggles.I'm going 50/50 with that 7-11 ad
I suppose we could also count Castlevania and Dragon Quest to a degree, but they got the last laugh in the end.Shin Megami Tensei:

I live for them punsThanks a lot, I appreciate that and the good grief you gave me.
Me, avid Shin Megami Tensei fan and owner of the Support Thread, on the launch date of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate:I think the thing about Axel is hes always been in SEGA cross over stuff and his series has always been a beat em up and generally people see it as better than final fight as a game (tho thats moreso cause at the time they were trying SUPER hard with it)
I do think it sucks how capcom just doesnt care about Final Fighter outside of it being the pickles in street fighters burger nowadays. Tho I think SMT fans feel the same about Joker getting in or Terry getting in over Kyo
Actually, I looked it up and it's worse.Technically, you'd pay a total 55 bucks for one costume, due to the 30 from buying all the fighters separately.
on that note imagine their stage being a side scrolling stage of the first level and you can break objects to get items and every 30 seconds or so it has the "GO!" icon and in the background you can see various SoR charsI think a Streets of Rage rep would be pretty cool, I played one of those games on the Genesis (not sure which), but I love that beat 'em up style of progressing through a level in sections. It's also fun to pick up a pipe lying around and start bashing away... sounds a lot worse when I write it out.
