It doesn't make too much of a difference which Doomguy they use. That's why I said both Doomguy and Doom Slayer. Both are tough as nails characters with a ridiculous arsenal.This is exactly what I was trying to point out in my earlier post (except I made arguments for both). The only difference is it should be classic Doomguy.
The only reason I might prefer the new Doom Slayer is because he comes with more physical attacks and a more brutal way of fighting. And the newest game even comes with a grappling hook shotgun. I can see that working so well in Smash.
