Not Smash but it's something lol
Nintendo? Possibly paying actual attention to the Zelda timeline?

The world has indeed turned upside down.

Nevertheless, it's a good move by both Nintendo and Koei. The game looks pretty intriguing and a natural successor to the first Hyrule Warriors too. Does further imply that Nintendo are continuing with their idea of releasing other games (whether standard or experimental - Mario + Rabbids / Cadence) to help fill the gaps between more experimental mainline Nintendo fare - which is a smart move.

I love that this HW game is correcting one of the few issues I had with BOTW in actually exploring the interesting story elements of the Calamity period.

I will say though that I'm slightly concerned in the sense that Dynasty Warriors' own attempt to do open world stuff was, from all I've heard, pretty bad. But given that they're closely working with the Zelda team on this, that's a slight concern at best.

That's another Koei Tecmo games with Nintendo, and with those Ninja gaiden trilogy rumor I think Hayabusa chances are now super high. Imo he always had pretty big chances, but now I can see it happening very soon.

Posted it on the Social Thread. Nice surprise by Nintendo. 20th November coming out.

Who would have thought the big October-November 1st party game this year for all three would have been a Lost Legacy sized Spider Man or a BOTW prequel by Koei. Crazy year.

Even though they can always throw in a different Koei Tecmo rep.

Also, Sakurai's comments about the new Zelda being unfit for battle are going to be laughable when the game comes out. lol
Its funny in general that pretty much every time another developer gets to develop a home console LoZ game, they make a form of Zelda both playable and about as capable as Link is:

Koei-Techmo with Hyrule Warriors
Brace Yourself Games with Cadence of Hyrule
Heck, even Phillips with 2/3 of the godawful CD-I games.

I mean, she's already blasted Calamity Ganon in the face with a divine laser beam. I think the more likely reason would be that the existing Zelda moveset wouldn't make a lot of sense with her. Some of Zelda's movements and attacks don't really make a lot of sense if she isn't wearing a dress. Also using specials that are mostly from OoT. That's a lot more work than choosing a different version of Zelda (who also doesn't really fight).

DAMN!!!!! HYPE!!!!!

This game looks amazing!!! I haven't gotten to BoTW because of my large list of other games, but I have it. I think I might play Age of Calamity first, and then BoTW.

"Hey, you know that massive title that became the best selling entry in one of our most iconic series and basically defined this entire console that has a sequel releasing next year? Here's a canon prequel that crosses over with another iconic series. Also it comes out in two months."

Man, 2020's Nintendo is actually crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if a Sakurai presents Geno or a Sakurai presents Crash Bandicoot is just dropped one day.

After the minor heart attack thinking they shadowannounced BOTW2, I think this is really cool. HW was fun, and a sequel that elaborates on BoTW is a very cool idea.

Also, it's more fuel for a Revali moveset, which is nice.

I guess this is following in the footsteps of Persona 5 Scramble - the asset-flip canonical entry. Pretty efficient. Not gonna buy it because lol musou but still.

Also directs are dead rip in peace
