People talk a lot about the character, but what about the stage?

I think that's where they'll bring all the characters in. It'll be like that bird dude in the Ness cloud stage, but you get a random ARMS fighter or two that join the fight in the arena. That way they can put a bunch of them in, and keep a few for the character as playable?

I think they'll do the Hero treatment, and keep the 4 most popular as alts. As far as I can tell, Springman, Ribbongirl and Min Min seem to have similar stances, so they're only missing one more.

And that way, they can reuse the Springman assist trophy as one of those guests, and from now on, have it rotate with the others when he comes in through AT. And they can base all the other fighters on that AT, meaning it's mostly a reskin job for those other stage-specific NPCs.

Everyone has entirely original mechanics. Even Springy boy gets his own unique buff at low HP.

I'm going to be assuming that with the context, he's talking explicitly about how he's going to balance this character's long as **** arms.

It will definitely be either Spring Stadium or Sky Arena. Spring Stadium will probably be a weird not-technically-a-walk-off stage with the springs on the side, and blast zones right after them. Sky Arena will be a more traditional stage with a raised portion in the middle, and Headlok would show up after a while, acting like it does in Headlok mode.

Aside from Wendy and Dark Samus.

Dark Samus's gender is pretty dubious though. They say it's the same as Samus on a molecular level, but Samus isn't a being of pure Phazon nor does she need it to survive.

Wendy doesn't count as she's an costume.

Spring Man's my guess. If it's not a hero situation, he's the core character/mascot. The fact he's even among the list of possibilities is amazing enough in itself.

There are two options.
One: Springman (The boring choice) will be chosen and that will open the Pandora's box of AT Promotions (Which is good and bad for me because Zero, Shadow, Knuckles, Alucard and Isaac will be back on the table but on the flipside, that would also mean Waluigi which is ****ing gross)

Two: Min-Min, Twintelle, Ribbon Girl could be chosen and that will open the Pandora's box which will open the box for spirits (Which means Geno could be back on the table which is good)

Either way, I would be happy because once again, a Fan-Rule will be broken and people will realize that Sakurai does what Sakurai wants and these rules the Smash Fanbase sets are dumb and have been dumb since they started.

But since the the 1st fighter in FP2 has been chosen, that means five more picks....Well honestly 3 because I have a feeling that Rex and Pyra will be in this pack AND a new Pokemon rep will be in. This is my final prediction (Depending on if Rex and Pyra and a SwSh Pokemon are in the FP or not)

If Rex and Pyra and a Pokemon Rep are not picks then.

Been a while since I’ve commented here wow. The literal last thing I expected waking up today in terms of smash news was confirmation of an ARMS fighter, nevertheless one we don’t even know yet! I was extremely hype during the little ‘reveal’ though, absolutely loved ARMS back in 2017 and it was so thoroughly unexpected that it was a lot of hype. Personally think the idea of it being spring man as a base with ribbon girl, ninjara, and min min as alts is what’s going to probably happen, though I would absolutely adore Helix or Coyle too

Chrom is both a fighter and a final smash. You can use Chrom to beat up Chrom and celebrate in the victory screen with Chrom as Chrom chromgratulates both of your victory.

Who do you guys think the ARMS character will be? Do you think it'll be the Bowser Jr. treatment, Hero treatment or just an single character?

While I really hope we get the Bowser Jr. treatment, I think we'll more than likely get the Hero treatment instead: Spring Man, Ribbon Girl, Ninjara, and Min-Min as one fighter, with one alternate color for each. They all share the same moves, but their moveset is an amalgamation of all of their abilities in one. They would also have a few different animations between eachother, mostly just idle and victory poses.

If the ARMS character ends up being multiple characters in one (which is possible, if not the most likely outcome), this is probably the most likely scenario. I think most of the characters look too different from each other to feasibly pull off another Bowser Jr.-type character, which would leave only four or five characters who have a similar body shape.

The characters all have wildly varying personalities (unlike "stoic silent self insert" Hero) and don't share default equipment (unlike the Koopalings). It's a stretch even for an ARMS character. You're telling me it's fine that someone who is represented like this in ARMS;

fights the same as 3 different characters in Smash.

They've made characters Echoes or separate movesets for far, far less.
