Your avatar has Ami in it, so that one's a given. Sakura is way too specific a name to just throw in there, and Sora is pretty highly requested. The rest are pretty popular requests, so given the typical opinion of this thread I figured you wouldn't want them.

Chun-Li seems a little odd to me, given we already have like three fighting game characters and I don't really see many clamoring to see her in as a fighter, same with Sol Badguy. Cinderace is usually not as suggested as Rillaboom so I figure that might be a no for you. Crash is generally well liked enough that I could see you maybe also wanting him. Travis is pretty cool so maybe? And Master Chief... I have no idea, so I guess you'd maybe want that?

I see where you’re coming from with your reasoning for Chun-Ali, but the thing is I really don’t care. Ryu and Ken are both boring, Terry is the only non-boring fighting character. And I don’t think Chun-Li would be boring. It’s a stupid reason, but I’m a stupid person so it works. Sol Badguy and Travis Touchdown are both characters I don’t know that much about. I know what they look like, I recognize them by name, know their game, and that’s pretty much it. They both seem generic to me and aren’t unique at all. So you were right with Sol, but missed Travis. And Cinderace is way cooler than Rillaboom, plus Cinderace would be incredibly fun to play as.
Now with Crash, it’s similar to Travis/Sol but also different. I don’t know much about him, but he also seems super obnoxious and annoying. If he was a fighter, I would definitely never play with him and would hate it when my opponent did. He always seemed like an annoyance in every aspect, and I would hate having him. And with Master Chief I guess you’re just good at guessing so congrats

Sylux and Porky are both really specific characters. I’ve seen them requested, but they are definitely the least requested on your list. Your avatar is Dixie Kong and Dixie Kong and Arle are similar in a way, and that’s my only evidence for Arle. Going off your avatar once again, I don’t see somebody who likes Dixie to care for Pokémon at all. Goshers I hope I’m not wrong. I support Chun-Li but I’m pretty sure no one else does and Ring Fit is

I actually like Pokemon a lot (well, Gens 1-6), I just don't care for another one in Ultimate's DLC cycle after it already got a net gain of four characters from Smash 4 to Ultimate. The other two I just don't care about (and I don't think either series needs more) and most of the time I see them suggested it's because they don't have spirits, which just put a bad taste in my mouth to begin with because it implies that characters with spirits are dead in the water.

Geno, and to a lesser degree Crash, were pretty obvious. I've never actually played a Klonoa game, though I know a lot of people like the series and I'm loykey hoping that he gets something in Smash. Waluigi is kind of whatever for me. Yooka and Laylee would be neat, but I don't think they're Smash fighter material just yet. Wart is one of my very unlikely picks, I don't think he'll ever get in, but I'd be pretty hyped if he did.

There's a good amount of things we can expect to be covered like why there's 6 Fighter Packs instead of 5, when the decision to greenlight Vol 2 was made, and who's involved with the selection this time. However, it would be a huge deal if Sakurai addresses spirits and if they could become playable, but we all know if he actually does address that it'll ultimately mean spirits are essentially deconfirmed, so I don't see it happening.

I'm not expecting any real speculation questions about who might be in to be answered in the column. I'd hope for maybe a timeframe of when we can expect something, be it a full reveal or something more like Joker and Terry's announcements.

• I actually want a Mortal Kombat character. Their designs now, especially in MK 11, are insane and awesome. Scorpion's also just iconic with such empathetic lines such as "GET OVER HERE!!!!" Before playing Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat was the other fighting game series I wanted to try out.
• I'm also down for Space Invaders. I grew up with the N64 game and that was the **** back in my day. Surprisingly fun arcade shooter campaign that 's challenging and satisfying to get good at. Soundtrack was also weirdly catchy.
• You got Steve right. I already mentioned in the social how much I enjoy playing Minecraft with my roommate.
• Despite my Dragon Quest fangasming, I was never down for a Slime. I felt a Hero would better represent the series during Erdrick era. Even after, I'm still pretty bigoted toward getting mooks in Smash after PPlant.
• Despite my Baboom memeing, I couldn't give a care about Pokemon nowadays. I'd rather have any other series.
• You were right on Saber. I'm sure she can bring something to the table and I can respect, but being genderbent waifu King Arthur--among other genderbent waifu historical figures--was something I could never wrap my head around. Just weirds me out.

Bemoaning a topic that everyone is handling in stride seems awfully unnecessary just because it isn't all flowers and sunshine.

There shouldn't be some moratorium on focusing on things people don't want to happen if people can be civil about it. At that point complaining seems kind of suppressive when the option to change the topic or just not join in are perfectly viable.

If everyone is chill let people talk about what they want to talk about.

Octoling is baby according to you, so that's an obvious want. Elma and Neku are from cult RPGs, so they wouldn't be included if you ddin't want them. The rest are complete polar opposites to the other three, being gritty and violent characters as opposed to cute and soft. Not to say that Elma is soft, but you know what I mean.

I personally refuse to buy Activision/Blizzard reps, but that doesn't really have anything to do with the characters themselves so they don't really count for the topic.

Maybe I am just 100% open to anything after getting all my most wanted, but idk.

So, kind of a hot take considering..but now that I've played Tales of Berseria, I think Velvet Crowe would be a much more interesting character for Super Smash Bros. than Lloyd Irving or Yuri Lowell would be.
Considering her outfit though, she'd have to be censored..thankfully I made this quite a while ago.

Seriously though, while she has a sword blade that comes out of her gauntlet & greaves, she fights with a lot of kicks and just look at that arm!

Since when did expressing what we don't want become taboo? How about we all express our opinions and people don't get offended by them? If you don't like someone's comment, then make a compelling counter-argument or move on. This is the nature of an adult discussion. If people are really getting that bent out of shape because someone says they don't want a character in a video game, they should probably come back to this forum once they've grown up a little.
