So, uhh...what cool characters would you guys like to see in this fun video game?

Just want Dante and call it quits. I got zero confidence in just about every character, pretty we'll get an FE Heroes character and SwSh Pokemob.

I mean Nook is cool and all but I think it'd be honestly pretty ****ed up if he and Villager both got unique movesets while Isabelle, who is essentially the most beloved and iconic AC character and its mascot, just got left overs from Villager for her moveset.

The ****?! The character that was just introduced in the last main AC game isn't more iconic than Nook, AC's Professor Oak for the entire franchise.

It means nothing to smash. But Mahvel fans are excited for the prospect of a new game.

It's a dead meme, but not a forced one. And personally, I don't even use it based on meme status, I use it because it makes Shantae fans over on GameFAQs go ballistic.

The scope isn't really the issue, it's the intent. And you're doing it intentionally to piss off those fans.

I'd really, really hesitate to call Minecraft indie at this point. It's about as accurate as calling Amazon a bookstore.

To be fair, neither is Shantae. WayForward hasn't been an indie dev for awhile now.

Outside of costumes like Raichu or Octoling, the only non-Smash character(s) I see getting in is Rex & Pyra since Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was more popular than the other two titles.

In regards to why the characters were chosen for both sides, they encompass various parts of both Capcom and Nintendo. I could see more curveballs from Capcom, but I think these picks would be fairly likely..though maybe with Morrigan swapped out or toned down at Nintendo's behest.

..I legit forgot Samus..she would be on there..maybe replace Mewtwo (The Pokémon Company is a pain to deal with..so I could see them only getting Pikachu), Ganondorf, or Peach.

Wow. Umihara Kawase. Now that's a deep pull.

I feel like Umihara could function with just a single special move and jumping, and everything else has to be done manually. Make her play 1:1 to her actual game, and you'll have people pulling off insane chaingrabs where they use the enemy as a skipping rope, gimping them as they recover, grabbing projectiles out of the air and using them to shield themselves from hits etc...

Hornet from Hollow Knight- Indie rep and my all-time favorite
Isaac from Golden Sun- Assist Trophy promotion and my second favorite
Lloyd or Yuri from Tales of series- Seems interesting
Monster Hunter from Monster Hunter- Same with Lloyd or Yuri, although less interested
Sora from Kingdom Hearts- For his fans. They deserve it. I would love to see the internet going beserk again, too.

A lot probably. I have about 25 or characters who would be in there that I'd be pretty cool with. Four of them in no particular order.

Saber (Fate Series) - I'm trying to get into Fate at the minute cause I'm into its lore and artstyle. I want Saber in Smash and I'm putting her as a dark horse.

Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher) - Hell yeah would I want to see him in Smash and a western dark horse. Similar to Joker for JRPGs his series has become the lead over established series of WRPGs. Plus it would be interesting to see the reaction from the Smash crowd.

Rean Schwarzer and Class VII (The Legend of Heroes) - From a company who I'm putting down as a dark horse as well. He comes from one of favourite games of all time and has a lot of moveset and stage potential.
Adding this time is a moveset idea hence the Class VII addition having three or four more of his classmates (and a student of his) join in to assist in his moveset.
Plus a stage to showcase Erebonia, one of my favourite locales in all of gaming. A nice train ride perhaps?


Terra Branford (Final Fantasy VI) - While I haven't completed FFVI, I have absolutely fallen in love with Terra. My main inspiration for the female lead in my novel, a definition of a character who is super innocent but will set you ablaze if you piss her off, unlimited moveset potential, has one of the best character themes in gaming, a design that would make her distinctive from the characters in the roster, a way to represent FF's Nintendo roots and about ten more reasons.

I'm sure this has been said before but I've been seeing his name pop up multiple times recently. Geralt of Rivia is a character from a Novel series not a video game character. Unless Sakurai allows Goku or other such characters from non-video-game media then Geralt is just as impossible no matter how cool he'd be.
