If it was Lara Croft I find it hard to believe they wouldn't use ZSS as a base. Bayo obviously has the whole dual gun thing going on, but in terms of overall design, movement and animations, ZSS falls much more in line with Lara Croft, and from what I can gather that seems to be the more important thing.

They modified Palutena's model to make sure it was impossible to see in normal gameplay and added a dark void to make sure.

That said, if this means Velvet Crowe has even the slightest chance? I'm going all in on believing it. Totally. For real though, Velvet would be an incredible Tales rep. One of the best games in the series, a crazy moveset with her demon hand, super unique character...

Another interesting possibility: Ring Fit Adventurer. I heard that she uses similar disembodied limbs in some of her attacks, so maybe that has something to do with it if it means anything?

It is complete conjecture and we don't really have any proof, but the post is interesting.

No. Someone making a mod for Ultimate posted some notes where they removed Solo Nana as a "character" slot and someone on the forums jumped the gun and thought they applied to Ultimate for some reason.

I think that the Mystery Dungeon spin-off series is somehow important. Many people (me included) prefere it to the main series!
Grovyle is one of the most beloved characters and his special moves could be inspired to the series. He also can use Dig!

Street fighter just has too many possible reps tbh. I'd love for Bison or Akuma to get in, and other characters like Zangief, Guile, and Chun-li have their followings as well.

For Street Fighter, I'd go with what Fire Emblem's got:

M. Bison

Zangief
Menat

This covers the big names of the series, adds some important characters, and throws in a completely unique character just for fun. I didn't add Sakura or Segat because I felt that since Ryu, Ken, and Akuma all have the same moveset it would be imperative that the rest of the characters don't even remotely resemble the shotos to avoid "most of the characters are just Ryu" complaints.

I think Heihachi is extremely likely this time around because of Sakurai's statements from Smash 4 when he said that Heihachi was straight up PLANNED, but they couldn't come up with a moveset in time.
I think it's time.
If you were to ask me right now who I think the top 3 candidates are for this Pass, I'd say Crash Bandicoot, Rayman, and Heihachi. In that order. Doom Slayer is iffy. Bethesda did deny Doom Slayer being in Smash, but also NDAs.
If Crash Bandicoot truly is FP6, then I think we should all start paying attention to MandyCan.

Sakurai never planned Heihachi. If he was planned he would have already had a moveset concept. You don’t plan a character only to scrap them straight after doing so because they lack one of the basic fundamentals a character must have if they were to be playable in Smash.

Smash Fandom: assumes that just because people acknowledge or talk about a leak means they automatically believe it’s real.

This is an ongoing problem with the Smash community tbh. When a leak gains some steam you have tonnes of people making fun of them because they think people automatically believe it’s real when that’s not the case at all.

I just don't bother with insiders anymore.

I mostly speculate on characters in general and consider what could make all of them plausible. And when I do feel I found a point worthy enough to be shared on forums or Discord I bring It up and see what people think.

Relying too much on insiders isn't that great since It limits the barriers of speculation too much, at least for me.
