I don’t know if Smash made it less clear, but Kazzioe is her own character...

Nah, as much as I love Kazooie in her base game, I will admit I wish they included some sort of Codec for the character, because otherwise, I can understand why certain people on here (Because Smash players almost never actually play the games the characters are form) seem to think Kazooie is some sorta background use for Banjo

Lumas don't have a gender specified, and while Rosalina & Luma is the character proper, there's only one clear gender, being female. Not really an example of a female/male team. So it doesn't work too well as a counterargument(unless I missed where the specified the genders of the Lumas she carries?)

Banjo & Kazooie are clearly a male/female team(and arguably so is Duck Hunt). They don't count towards really adding only to the female count. It's just both in the end. Another team similar is Ice Climbers, however that's more specified that Popo is meant to be the controllable character with Nana being the A.I., so it adds a bit less technically speaking than even Banjo & Kazooie do.

In the end, arguing technicalities is fruitless. If people want another solo female rep, they haven't gotten one for DLC. Simple as that. Which to be fair, is the actual arguments being constantly made(which is why they don't count Kazooie, who is absolutely her own character, oy. But still comes with a Male one, so isn't solo no matter how you look at it).

I'm glad I'm not the only person whose thought of this, Nintendo is no stranger to the Civ franchise either , from the SNES back in the day all the way to the Switch today. The Civ series was instrumental in fostering an interest in history for me and is one of my all time favor series.

I could see them adding the stage and two songs, Songo di Volare and Baba Yetu to the misc section of music so you can play a plethora of songs on the stage and play the civ music on any misc stage.

Good to see someone is just into the series as me. I was just 10 years old when I came across Civilization IV and became engrossed in it. Like you, I got into history from it and gave me a head start on learning things like forms of governments, various wars and technologies.

Coming from a very Civ VI perspective I would also add a few more music pieces from older Civilizations. Would add the likes of Korea, America and Germany themes but thought from a neutral perspective.

This is completely out of the blue but if I wanted a 3rd party that was represented by just stage and music, I would pick Civilization.

Can I ask why do we have people so "smart" that they bring up a topic that was dealt with hours ago?

I have no issues talking about representation and whatnot, but whenever someone brings the issue the end result is a ****show due to one reason or another.

We have always the common responses like Kazooie is in the game already or Sakurai wouldn't select a character only due to their gender (love that everyone knows what Sakurai is thinking right now). And then I see nobody complains when people complain about no first party characters, no additional characters from a particular series or genre.

Just as its valid to prefer first parties or third parties, certain genres or franchises in particular, it should be valid to like a character for better representation. But just like the previous mentioned things, it shouldn't be expected to happen due to being a missing part.

I feel like everyone is missing the fact that Kazooie, while she isn’t the female character everyone wants, is literally carrying for Banjo. In the games, Banjo would be nothing without her and that is referenced by Kazooie herself.

Banjo basically escorts her around to do things he can’t. Fly, run faster and up steep slopes, shoot projectiles, Wonderwing, beak barge, being a weapon. Banjo is just the Kronk to her Yzma.

Kazooie runs the show and Banjo takes all the hits. He’s a dedicated bodyguard at best.

Personally, I've never really cared about genders. There are some female characters I'd like, but then there's a few I'd absolutely be disappointed to get. The character's gender means very little to me if the moveset is terrible or the character and their franchise is beyond my scope of interest.

I literally just wanted to see if that was the whole post or just a snippet of a funny tldr and saw Nessdeltarune's post. What systems do you own? While 3 is the fanfavourite, I do feel I should mention that 3's early game is incredibly brutal and even after pulling an S rank on the final boss, I still struggled with the first real boss for some reason. The Switch version's getting exclusive stuff including Style Switching which will make the game 50 times better so that you don't have to choose between an easy dodge button, parrying or a bigger moveset

When it comes out, I'd strongly suggest looking into Devil May Cry 3 for the Switch. (or you could get the HD Collection for other consoles/PC if you have them, but from the sounds of it, the Switch is getting additional bonuses, and some of the possibilities are pretty exciting) That game (along with DMC4 and 5) played a big part in terms of why I'd want to see Dante in Smash Bros.

From a historical perspective Greece’s theme in Civ “epitaph of seikilos” would be really cool considering it’s the oldest surviving piece of composed music in all of history.

on a side note I’m also a really big fan of Brazil’s war theme in civ 5, sounds like something out of a James Bond soundtrack!

How could I forget. I too think it is one of the best themes. I have this on my phone but I've renamed to The Great Outback, Australia.
Generally play as them and other peaceful expansion Civs. Miss having the Celtic civilization in it considering myself that.

If you have a ps4 then that changes things, I recommend 5, and while you may be a tad out of the loop for the story, 5 is significantly easier to get into gameplay wise and also has more characters as DMCV has Dante, Nero and V whereas DMC3 has Dante and Vergil
