So an interesting question just popped into my mind and I'm curious to here what you guys think. What first party Nintendo series that does not yet have a character do you think is most likely to receive one? There clearly isn't a clear option here and it seems very unlikely that we're going to get any new first party Nintendo series in the DLC but that's what makes the question interesting imo.

Many people would have said ARMS in the lead up to Ultimate but I think most of can agree that the ARMS momentum has greatly slowed since then. The game wasn't a failure by any stretch but it wasn't really a huge success either and a sequel is just one of those things that may or may not happen. Though honestly it might still be the frontrunner because of an extreme lack of options. I'd personally order it this way:

1. ARMS (by a thread over Golden Sun)
2. Golden Sun
3. Dillon's Rolling Western
4. The Wonderful 101
5. Advance Wars
6. Sin and Punishment
7. Panel de Pon (is this even a Nintendo series?)

And I ran out of ideas right there which goes to show how limited the options are. I did consider Takamaru and other retro characters but retros are just too wildcard for me to try and rank anywhere.

Here's my list. I'm going to assume that Assist trophy or spirit promotion is possible:
1. Rhythm heaven: No it's not biais, I honestly think that if we do have a new first party it's going to be Rhythm heaven. The fact that Sakurai planned a fighter for the franchise in Smash 4 is already enough evidence, but the fact that it also got a game relatively recently and that Tsunku is interested in making more make me think that the franchise will not die soon. It's also the Nintendo franchise with no fighters that have the most sales with Excitebike.

2. Arms: Amrs is new and sold pretty well. Just like Rhythm heaven, Sakurai wanted it (this time in Ultimate).

3. Astral chain: I think Astral chain have more chances than Wonderful 101 because of relevance. Also I highly doubt Wonderful 101 will have a sequel one day (I hope I'm wrong on that one), but I think Kamiya already started thinking about Astral chain sequels.

4. Golden sun: It doesn't have that much going for it, but a lot of fan demand might be enough.

5. Mysterious murasame castle/Mach rider: I put them both in the same spot, because they're both retro characters that Sakurai seems to love.

For the rest I honestly don't hink it will happen, although I would like Wars or Style savvy having a fighters.

Correct, Burb himself even said it had nothing to do with FP5.

That's easily resolved. Just enable what parts of a character can be color edited manually (and how far you can modify the values) and exclude anything considered crucial to a character's design.

I don't see how what Sabi said means they're mii costumes when he said fighter 4 will make the Smash community think they know fighter 5 (which makes absolutely no sense imo), and if Burb is saying it's unrelated then he's just contradicting Sabi and making no sense whatsoever.

edit: apparently it could also be completely wrong anyway; he said it isn't concrete. They've heard other things that have turned out wrong.

Again, these could mean something, could mean nothing. Same thing with those 2 mario RPG tracks associated with Geno being taken down earlier. But we could also have a “megalovania” situation on our hands since a fan remix WAS taken down and later came to ultimate via sans outfit

The takeaway here is that the takedowns could hint at something smash-related, and KOS-MOS' mod video triggering that response from Nintendo suggests we're expected to see her in the future. Otherwise, it wouldn't make any sense to pay any special attention to something visual when music is more of a priority for them. But of course, it's as he says in the fourth tweet: Tread carefully into it. It's a coin flip on whether or not her mod vid removal means anything.

Seth's new design confused me as well. I think it's the idea the Yin and Yang represent a harmony of opposites. Man and Women are among the list of those opposites, so it's not too big of a stretch to say that Seth could gender swap if Yin and Yang are what it's drawing power from.

The duality concept is neat (and fitting), but the in-universe explanation is that Juri nearly killed him, his mind merged with one of M. Bison's Dolls (which was probably a synthetic prototype for the Doll program, and a potential replacement vessel, given its special designation). The Tanden engine is somehow intact (it should've been destroyed), so chances are that Doll 0 also had one, or Seth installed a new one or repaired it. However... Knowing M. Bison, it's also possible that Doll 0 was built as a replacement Seth that would be more obedient or something.

Anyway, the real life reason is simple: The game already has enough nakey boss guys, so they picked a less popular one that could logically swap bodies (that also had a reason to because he was dying), and made him a woman because it'd sell more costumes. It seems like new Seth copied a bit of Juri's personality and mannerisms (look at those facial expressions), and they're totally cool with their new form because they only care about their same evil plan. This is way more interesting though because now we have a technically genderless character that was referred to as male (and still refers to himself as such, if the "King" line in their super and same voice is anything to go by) with a female form that he's totally cool with. Seth is just... Seth. Capcom isn't the most progressive company by a longshot, but this an interesting concept and they're rolling with it. It helps that the end result is a Dural/Twelve/Juri/Android 21 hybrid with moves from Jojo, Darkstalkers, and DBZ (on top of stealing the Street Fighter casts' techniques), with a hint of Orochimaru (Naruto) body stealing and Puppet Master (Ghost in the Shell) vibes.

I noticed that the Banjo Mod is from the Wii U game and not Ultimate, while the KOS-MOS mod was in Ultimate, had a slightly more misleading title, and look a bit better. The other videos of the same mod are still up on YouTube though.

I provided proof that he has had connections to Sabi, and that its very likely that is where he heard it (Although he mentions another source in the same circle, so who knows which one told him).

Whether or not you believe him is up to you. Just know that Burb has a reputation in this community for barely ever lying at all though.

Ironically, he has been hated on Gamefaqs for being TOO truthful in the past (being one of the first to back 103 stages, firm box theory believer, ect).

At the time, Ryu Hayabusa was widely speculated to be one of the final two fighters so I think what Sabi meant by saying that was since Ryu Hayabusa was not going to be the 4th fighter, the community would immediately assume he would then be the 5th and final fighter in the pass.

At the time, Ryu Hayabusa was widely speculated to be one of the final two fighters so I think what Sabi meant by saying that was since Ryu Hayabusa was not going to be the 4th fighter, the community would immediately assume he would then be the 5th and final fighter in the pass.

It's because there was a 4chan leak that said Terry and Hayabusa were the final two. Sabi said that after Terry's reveal people would flock to that leak as the truth.

And also why did Vergeben also state Reiji and Xiaomu wasn't in it when he already stated Namco wasn't FP5? At this point I'm trusting Sabi over him.
