I definitely don't think this copyright claim means she's a lock or anything, but damn if I don't feel more optimistic about KOS-MOS' chances than I ever have.

Lloyd's still probably coming. Just not right now.
Though he's low on my personal priorities. I prefer Heihachi.

This would be easier to believe had Nintendo not accidentally leaked the DLC fighter before this one, lol. Not sure they're in the position to craft too many mindgames when they're their own worst enemy.

The thing for Lloyd, is I personally think that he will be represented in smash for sure. He seems like a popular pick, and whether it's a fighter or a mii costume, he would probably get in. Even Sabi said 'Could happen post-FP though' for him.

I was thinking the other day, if Sakurai were to add a playable indie character he'd probably add Quote wouldn't he?

Cave Story is like the OG Japanese indie game.

Maybe.

Being "OG" doesn't make you a shoo-in. Bayo got in over multiple older action games, for example.

I think Touhou lived way longer. That series has been here since the PC-89 era.

Maybe, but if an indie character were to get in I think he'd add a more popular one.(I don't know how popular Cave Story is, so correct me if I'm wrong)

People are worried they’re gonna waste 3 hours of their time watching the game awards for a smash reveal that might not even be there, but I was gonna watch the game awards anyway

The game awards starts at 1:30 AM here in the UK so I'm just going to sleep through it and see it in the morning. No point in watching if we're unsure if it would actually show.

Cave Story used to be pretty huge, **** an LPer I've been watching for years got so many requests to play it that he banned requesting the game.
Also Undertale took a lot of inspiration from Cave Story, and being an indie with both an eastern and western presence AND having legacy makes Quote a great candidate for the first indie rep!

I'm going to watch the highlights after the election coverage in hopes that there's a silver lining for our country plummeting into political turmoil.
If there isn't a silver lining then, well... nice knowing you guys.

Wait I thought Toby Fox said that Touhou inspired him to make Undertale.

Huh. So it seems to be way bigger than I expected. Although I prefer something else Quote seems cool too.

"The" means that we're talking about one specific thing, while "a/an" refers to something of which there can be more than one. Probably a poor explanation on my part, so apologies! Grammar is weird.

I think the only time a Nintendo copyright strike meant anything this speculation period was Megalovania awhile back.

The Geno Thread is still trying to hold on to the Super Mario RPG songs being copyright striked.
