Well this is certainly interesting. I think we can safely say that the Mallow/Doom leak is fake because of this too.

After looking into the character, I actually think KOS-MOS is pretty cool. I'm perfectly okay with her inclusion, not that it matters.

I always assumed Cacomallow was 100% fake, because I remember how quick Nintendo was to kill each and every ESRB leak video. Those videos could barely stay up before they got taken down.


The fact that that video has been uploaded and re-uploaded dozens of times tells me something, and that something is it's not real.

Alright alright, break it up everyone. I'm crashing this party straight from the KOS-MOS support thread to drop some hype-control on y'all. Now sit down and read, cause this needs to be said:​

Alright, I figure it's time I address what I think is going on with the copyright takedown since I happen to be in the server where the modder took my commission and made it months back. I didn't want to say anything because I wanted folks here to get their well-earned rest, but I'm aware of different time zones, so pardon the discrepancies...

I would still advice caution here. I already spoke directly with him on what might be happening, and these are the things that come to mind:

• The "visual claim" could just be the first of many modding videos.
• The algorithm is confusing the visuals for something else entirely, explaining the oddball "Mario Kart Tour" claim.
• I already checked for the removal of any Xenosaga themes – including any tied to Smash Bros. as conceptual themes – and none are taken down.
• We had a similar video takedown months back with Megalovania. People joked about it for a while, but we did get Sans eventually... as a Mii outfit.
• Some jackass could have reported the video to Nintendo to create the illusion of a Ninja takedown, but it ends up being a red herring as Nintendo never bothered examining the content closely enough. They probably saw "Mods? In OUR licensed products? Not on our watch!" and got rid of it.

And that about sums up this conundrum. It might be a hint to her being a Fighter. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but also consider these circumstances as well. For all we know, this is just an elaborate ruse, or Nintendo striking early at the weirdest time to hint at her eventual Mii costume in Fighter Pack 8 or something [eyeroll].

My work here is done. I should be asleep, but my dumb modder friend kept me up with this info. Baka baka baka. I'm sure he'll laugh it off if he reads this, lmao.

If there is a dual reveal at The Game Awards, maybe IAmShifty and the birb guy were right about Hayabusa being revealed in 2019.
He just wasn't F5P, but rather the first character of "Season Two" (that's assuming they had the correct info of course).

Then again, from what i've heard we would be lucky to get any Smash reveal at TGA, so who knows.

If it weren’t for the timing, I’d agree with this sentiment, but with it being so close to the Game Awards, I’m more inclined to believe Nintendo accidentally leaked KOS-MOS early.

I mean, the timing is very odd, but there's soo many moving parts it's impossible to say anything with certainty.


I'd love it to be KOS MOS, but I'm also not going to blindly accept that "This is it, it's guaranteed, no questions asked"



Playing both sides of the board allows you to question **** better, and "Mario Kart Tour" is sus as hell.

In Nintendo's defense, that was several days out, and they did eventually take it down.

This is less than 24 hours to the show.



On one hand, "KOS MOS, sweet. Bad-ass robot lady, she's hot, I enjoy."

On the other hand, "Something's just shoddy about this situation."

To be fair, we have a good enough reason to believe that was sabotage if that 4chan post threatening to leak the music was anything to go by.

Oddly specific for a 4chan post to threaten to leak the next character via the music, only for that night for the music to leak the character.
