That doesn't make any sense.

Why would Mario Kart Tour of all things copyright strike it.

This seems like a false copyright strike.

>Nintendo copyright striking something

"Okay"

>Nintendo copyright striking a Smash mod

"Okay"

>The reason is "Mario Kart Tour"

"Hold the **** up."

Why... wouldn't they list it as "Super Smash Bros Ultimate"? CLEARLY they have the power to do so if they can copyright strike something for being Mario Kart Tour.

Far from Smash
... then everything goes dark and suddenly we hear a loud scream and see a white text bubble with red letters: "OBJECTION!!"
Jack McCoy makes his case!

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Well this is interesting....
The ultimate troll.
Tonight, Nintendo brings out a speaker to make a 'huge' announcement.
It's a Xenosaga-themed trailer.
KOS-MOS appears.
"KOS-MOS shifts into gear!"
>KOS-MOS coming to Mario Kart Tour!

The End.

It's high level mind games man, can't spoil the surprise if you claim it for a completely different game.

Obviously, this means Mario from Super Smash Bros is coming to Mario Kart Tour.

Ah yeah, KOS-MOS from Mario Kart, my favorite Nintendo character after Shulk from Avenger.

I actually think that Mario Kart Tour is probably getting some Xeno related content soon, either that or it's a false copyright strike.

But.. Why?

Why not FE: Heroes or that other Dragon mobile game I can't remember the name?

I'm, like, 90% positive it's a false Copyright claim. I want to say that if it were Nintendo, it would be "Nintendo Co., LTD" as the claimer.

Ya, this **** smells, and it's oddly convenient.

Being hit for ****ing MARIO KART TOUR of all things is bizarre as hell.

I'm definitely open to having KOS-MOS in, but how close to the ****ing final model would this mod have to be for the bot to pick up on it if it's 'visual'?

I can picture it now, new trailer tomorrow. KOS-MOS splash screen appears immediately followed by a loud, booming "OBJECTION!" Phoenix Wright is in the game. And as soon as the trailer is over, we get the trailer for KOS-MOS in Mario Kart Tour.

I was looking as well, thank you for this. Nintendo used to have minor copyright claims on splatfest results on my channel, but those restrictions don't exist anymore, so I couldn't check as easily.
If anything, this confirms this is the Big-N themselves, unless it's some weird, obtuse misspelling of Nintendo that makes it LOOK like the word Nintendo.

Of course it could also be an elaborate ruse.

Re-posting from the home thread:
The thing is it's both:

A: Credited for Mario Kart Tour

and

B: Cited as "Visual"

This would mean that the guy would have to have a near, almost perfect identical model to the one that would be in Smash for the bot to mistake it, which is VERY doubtful if it's just a mod.

Hmm...but for a game like Mario Kart Tour...that's weird.

I'd found the whole thing more suspicious if YouTube was good at handling copyright strikes, tbh.

It could mean that it wasn't a bot and instead a manual claim.

So let's run this down:

KOS MOS mod gets copyright struck by Nintendo, video taken down

Copyright strike is ACTUALLY from Nintendo

Copyright strike is cited as being both:

Visual

and

"Mario Kart Tour"

As much as I want KOS MOS to be revealed tomorrow, SOMETHING feels odd here. The timing seems not an issue since we're soo close to the Game Awards, so copyright strikes going out is logical.

...but why on Earth Mario Kart Tour? If you can copyright strike via games, then CLEARLY they'd have been able to pick Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

And not only that, but visual? The Copyright bot just realized "This is KOS MOS, in Smash."

That would have to mean that the model was INCREDIBLY close to what we'd be getting to fool the copyright bot, which, is actually better at its job than you think, seeing as it's completely ignored the Mii Hat leak, yet it went after the ESRB leak in Smash 4.

Something is VERY odd here.

Gotta say though, it's a nice change of pace that none of our usual suspects have given us a specific name yet. After Hero being "known" for half a year, BK being very much hinted at by credible lads, and Nintendo themselves leaking SNK, it's really refreshing.
