This is getting super weird...I don't know what to think anymore...
We still have around 16hours before the show begins, I can't survive this ****

People REALLY need to look at this with an open minded viewpoint.


Yes, this looks very good for KOS MOS, but this by no means means she's confirmed yet.


The only way she'll actually 'be confirmed', is when she's finally shown off to be in Smash.


Right now, there's just too many variables to take into consideration.

*grumbles* I remembered not trusting that no good Grinch leak before I came to Smashboards. (Back in 2018 last year.)

It's definitely not outside the realm of possibility.


The thing that pushes this slightly more into real territory is that Nintendo themselves copyright struck the video........



But, the reasoning is what makes this bizarre.

Hero and Terry come from critically acclaimed game changing series in their genre types.
Joker is from a fan loved and long running game series that is seeing new growth.
Banjo Kazooie was a long wanted fan request on the size of well the other ones that got in like Ridley, K. Rool, etc. It was a pretty well received platformer in it's time and has been emulated.

Then....there's KOS-MOS. Her game didn't really change her genre, she's beloved sure, but her request status hasn't been as huge as some of the ones granted by Sakurai recently. That and Xenosaga was just kind of the middle step to getting to the more successful Xenoblade.

If she was post pass? I'd be more down to believe she was a thing. That seems like it might just be throw anything to the wall and see what sticks.

But pass? Pass seems it at least has a common theme. I don't think she fits it.

So if she's in? I'm calling first post pass fighter. Someone else is FP5.

This logic just seems weird, because, while not guaranteed, a 2nd Fighter's Pass is probably going to be the future of DLC.


We can't just keep saying "Not this pass, but post? Sure", because that'll just bleed into a 2nd pass eventually I feel.

You know what that remind off?

Shulk,before he got confirm in Smash 4.

Same creator aside, Shulk and Xenoblade were really obscure during Smash 4 speculation. His inclusion in the game basically put Xenoblade on the front map, allowing X and 2 to be made.

Maybe Nintendo and monolith are trying to recapture that success, but with KOS-MOS and Xenosaga instead?

Just a theory of course.

I mean, Hero was blatantly overshadowed by Banjo in the west, and Banjo was somewhat overshadowed by Hero in the east.


I was just giving an example.


FP5 is a done deal. They've made their money off the 1st pass, at this point, they need to sell the 2nd pass. I like KOS-MOS, but she's not a Joker, she's not a character you start a pass with.

The thing that is making me lean towards something to it more than anything is that? People mod all types of characters into Smash. People have even modded in characters that Nintendo has later added or even outright own.

What made this KOS-MOS mod special?

But then Nintendo strikes can be weird, we still have strikes for other potential characters that Nintendo claimed that we haven't seen come to light either. So it could just be a fluke too.

The last DLC character comes out before Feb if Amiibo schedules are lined up. I legit feel like wave 2 is going to be very similar release-wise to Wave 1.

Could be a Japan / Western thing.
E3 is Western.
TGA is Western.
In Japan, Hero overshadowed Banjo; in the West, Banjo overshadowed Hero.
The same thing could be true with KOS-MOS and Master Chief.

I concur honestly. It'd be a cool way to end the pass and show what the future holds too, regardless who the 2 are.

There is precedent for having a double reveal.
Especially since it's been a while since Terry came around.
