For Phoenix Wright, I think the trailer would look like a full hand drawn remake of the first game, until Maya runs in with a letter for Nick. Phoenix tries to protest he's not a fighter but Maya already said they accept.

I like the idea, but I'm not sure if they'd use another fully animated trailer like Joker's. If I remember correctly, Sakurai even said so, because they were really expensive. I'd be down for it though.

Yeah, according to Sakurai, the budget was essentially blown on Joker's trailer, which is why we've been getting the Smash gameplay presentations starting with Hero.

I think a Phoenix Wright trailer could just recycle the high-def redrawn sprites from the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD mobile release, the same way Terry's trailer used the original SNK spritework.

And yet you're the one basing your assumptions on appearances, being that of how the third-party companies look unequal, and I'm the one saying the reality of the situation is that behind the scenes, all the others pale in comparison to how much Namco benefits from Ultimate.

Plus again, it's not Namco's call. It's Nintendo's. Namco are contracted employees, they have as much say over this as Game Arts did.

No. I’m just saying they’re not going to put in Pac-Man and a bunch of jpgs to say “that’s going to be all of our representation in this big as F game, which can bring attention to our properties (even the ones we’re trying to revive).” Their smiles are too wide. Plus, Nintendo has seen them as very capable, surprisingly capable, of handling a huge game with literally the whole smash cast. If they can make Sakurai pick a Pokémon, they can make him pick a Namco fighter.

Although I would prefer getting B. J. Blazkowicz, Duke Nukem, Joanna Dark, Master Chief, and or TOP SECRET, if we got Doom Reaper, I want his trailer to be in the dainty "yarn and cloth" art style reminiscent of Yoshi's Wooly World. Horizon Zero Dawn coming to PC was mentioned in this leak, and now it's being corroborated by some gaming news outlets. This leak also says KOS-MOS is fighter five contradicting what Vergeben has said. The Remind detail is interesting, but it never had a date beyond "This Winter" so claiming a delay into January 2020 is a bit strange when that was the expected release window to begin with.

While that Game Awards leak is most likely fake, but since it mentioned Horizon Zero Dawn it got me thinking that Aloy would be a great fit for Smash. She's a potential Sony rep that I never see talked about.

< Fighter 5 is Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers
< She will be advertised alongside a new Darkstalkers game, simply titled "Darkstalkers 4"
< Smash trailer is her showing off to the audience, telling them to promote her new game, while receiving a Smash invite mid-sentence.
< She then shows off herself alongside Lilith, similar to how Joker shows off Arsene
< She will be most likely revealed during the Best Fighting Game segment

Terry's scope is largely based around the people who are truly invested into fighting games.

I knew of SNK, just not Terry.

Doesn't mean there weren't people who did know, of course, as I saw plenty of people happy for him. I'm actually quite liking Terry myself nowadays; he's got the same core gimmick as Ryu, but a waaaaay more fun personality and moveset.
