Pfft, he comes with Those Chosen By The Planet. One-Winged Angel is long enough to be like three songs. Then I guess it's Sephiroth with One Winged Angel.

It's not brought up in Smash but it is brought up in Persona 5 in that the guns are basically air soft replicas that function like real guns because of how the Metaverse works. Basically if the thought based residents of the metaverse believe something is real, then it's real. Since they can't tell the difference between a real gun and an air soft replica, they think they are being shot at with real firearms so they behave like real firearms.Ok I’ve said this once, and I’ll say it again
It looks like a gun
It works like a gun
It act like a gun
It sounds like a gun
The fact that it’s air soft never comes up in smash
ITS
A
GUUUUUUUUNNNNN
Not true. The bullets don't count as projectiles. It act like a gun
Yes, but the ratings board doesn't look at Persona 5 when Joker's in Smash...they only look at Smash. For all intents and purposes, Joker uses a real gun. It's not brought up in Smash but it is brought up in Persona 5 in that the guns are basically air soft replicas that function like real guns because of how the Metaverse works. Didn’t they use those same air soft replicas in Persona 3 for the evokers? (I.e. it looks like the person is putting a gun to their head to summon their persona)It's not brought up in Smash but it is brought up in Persona 5 in that the guns are basically air soft replicas that function like real guns because of how the Metaverse works. Not really.Didn’t they use those same air soft replicas in Persona 3 for the evokers? (I.e. it looks like the person is putting a gun to their head to summon their persona)
That makes more sense. I don't know anything about airsoft guns, but I don't think shooting yourself in the head with one at point blank range would be a good idea. Not really.
Evokers only resemble guns, they're not exact replicas. They also contain Plumes of Dusk to help summoning.
It's ok in those instances because they sound like lasers.Do I need to start bringing up examples of kids shows using real guns that are explicilty used to kill with, including kid shows with people getting shot by real guns?
Yeah but that’s info only brought up in an outside game, if someone played smash and saw joker with a gun, but never played persona 5, they would believe it’s a real gun. It's not brought up in Smash but it is brought up in Persona 5 in that the guns are basically air soft replicas that function like real guns because of how the Metaverse works. Steve Burnside from RE:CVsteve from where?

I mean... Again, this is a kid's show
Also an old ass educational cartoon from the 70's did this too
And hence they would be shot.Yeah but that’s info only brought up in an outside game, if someone played smash and saw joker with a gun, but never played persona 5, they would believe it’s a real gun.
"Actually, the one who committed the crime...WAS YOU!"I just want Phoenix Wright in Smash so I can accuse everyone of committing a crime. Something as absurd as his Hyper from UMvC 3
His Smash moveset in general would likely be very different... but I honestly wouldn't mind if Phoenix Wright's Smash moves and animations were just 75% lifted straight from his UMVC3 appearance. They should at least take some inspiration from that Level 3 for his Final Smash.I just want Phoenix Wright in Smash so I can accuse everyone of committing a crime. I love how watching 2:17, 4:32, 9:57 and 10:35 is basically a summary of the past Tuesday.I just want Phoenix Wright in Smash so I can accuse everyone of committing a crime. Something as absurd as his Hyper from UMvC 3
It's entirely possible that 1:03 and 4:20 will happen as well in the coming two weeks.I love how watching 2:17, 4:32, 9:57 and 10:35 is basically a summary of the past Tuesday.
Phoenix Wright deconfirms himself. It's entirely possible that 1:03 and 4:20 will happen as well in the coming two weeks.
If I'm not mistaken, Sakurai did state at some point that he knows about the potential impact Smash can have for lesser known franchises.Something to think about, but with the disconfirmation of RE and DMC, two of Capcom’s most iconic series, I was thinking...
The whole pass has been characters from series that are lesser known in one way or another. Persona is by no means a huge series, Dragon Quest is much less known in the west (or at least played), Banjo-Kazooie has been dormant for some time now, Fatal Fury/KOF is definitely not as well known as Street Fighter or even Tekken.
Tales is another RPG, but it suffers, I think, from similar to Dragon Quest. It’s pretty easily outshined by western RPGs, but I also think the idea of having these JRPG protagonists in the same game is probably a cool idea for fans.
That said, until disconfirmation I think Phoenix Wright, Ammy, Lloyd, Chosen Undead...I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of them. I mean, I would be. But it may not be THAT much of a stretch.
But whatever. I’m sticking to my gut and saying it’s Pepsiman.
He's actually deconfirming the Edgey alt, which is WORSE than deconfirming Wright himself.Phoenix Wright deconfirms himself.
I'm hoping the intro gets updated with the full version of Lifelight and scenes involving all the DLC fighters.Since Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was brought up, I also want to bring this up...
This is a 6-minute long cinematic trailer for the game, featuring every single playable character in it. It's just a slow-pan over 3D models positioned in a specific way... yet it does such an excellent job of capturing the essence of UMVC3 and Marvel vs. Capcom in general.
When Super Smash Bros. Ultimate reaches the end of its DLC cycle, after the last DLC character ever made for the game is released... I hope we get a trailer just like that one, one that showcases every single character in the game (including the DLC characters) and is able to show why Super Smash Bros. is quite possible one of the best video game crossovers of all time.
Well that doesn't help at all.Something to think about, but with the disconfirmation of RE and DMC, two of Capcom’s most iconic series, I was thinking...

I'm not sure if I missed something. Has Devil May Cry been given a spirit event or something else in-game that makes it seem like it won't get a character, or are you referring to Sabi saying that Dante isn't the fifth Fighters Pass character?Something to think about, but with the disconfirmation of RE and DMC, two of Capcom’s most iconic series, I was thinking...

FtfyVergeben's gotta be asking his source about Phoenix at this point, right? And the fact that he hasn't reported anything back is a good sign, right?

...Right?
Depends on how you look at it.So it's been a day and Sabi has said nothing about any Tales reps. I shouldn't get my hopes up yet.
Well that doesn't help at all.
Might double post, but yeah. It’s really just Sabi’s source, and while I don’t care for Sabi I think it’s worth considering it if Verge is backing things up elsewhere.I'm not sure if I missed something. Okay, good - I was worried that something had confirmed that Dante wouldn't be an option for DLC in general. If it's just that he won't be in the Fighters Pass, then he's still an option for further down the line. (and I'm not sure what Sabi's track record is like for Smash specifically, though I know that they were extremely if not completely accurate about all of the line-ups for the past E3)Might double post, but yeah. Believe you me, I’d probably **** a brick if it’s Dante.
Just seems a little odd to me that they would even need to really focus on "smaller franchises" when the only "big" Japanese franchises left were Resident Evil, Tekken, Souls and Puyo Puyo. One of those is still super small in the West, and the other three are admittedly titans of Japanese gaming, but they're once again, just how little Smash hasn't already incorporated. If neither Tekken nor Resident Evil get in by the end of Ultimate, they're always going to feel super missing because of just how close we were to having every major Japanese franchise with major representation (Monster Hunter as playable would preferrably also be a part of this given it's 54 million sales).Depends on how you look at it.
If they’re not going for the “biggest” series, then that might throw out Tekken, which may sound reasonable given the fact that we JUST got Terry Bogard from a smaller fighting game.
Dragon Quest is probably the closest thing to a legacy series that we got in DLC, and while I wouldn’t rule another one out there was a reason to try exposing it to the west.
Seems like our answer will only be from leakers.

Phoenix wright leak was fakeSo has anything changed since Ubisoft and Falcom got dropped?
Other than the French Phoenix Wright Leak being fake and Vergeben disconfirming some guy's mom.So has anything changed since Ubisoft and Falcom got dropped?
