...and there always will be, I won't say why for specific reasons, but if does show up as an AT then meh...

Point is We already have, Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, and Toon Link/Young Link to worry about as it is, we don't need someone insignificant to the series, heck I'd rather see Skull Kid instead, and I'm really against the idea.

And relatively, Skull Kid is insignificant... =( Not hugely, but he's only a main villain of one game... Vaati was two, if I remember right...

But I'd LOVE to see him in smash, either with a MM moveset, or hell even a TP moveset. I made my own TP moveset myself, and I think it'd work nicely.

Tingle would be a dead weight, as would toad, and we already have our beloved and veteran Jiggloo to do this role. We should make room for stronger characters and balanced, for example, for the series TLOZ, would be a good character Ghirahim.

Quite frankly, this has me very disappointed and that's an understatement (And I want to leave it at that and not explode over anger). I'd ask for proof, but considering that you're one of the most logical members of the SSB4 discussions on the site (And quite possibly the Internet), I going to believe what you say and that we should turn our attention towards other stuffs.

It sucks even more that I don't want the 3DS or the Wii-U rosters to be the same and knowing that they will, things are not going to turn out well for the Smash community.

The brawl roster was fine in my opinion but somethings telling me that Smash 4's roster won't impress... I don't think Nintendo would abandon their fans. Smash Bros. is like a money printer. But who knows.

I still have faith on Smash 4. Who knows what nintendo will do anyway? Might as well wait and think of what would happen if Nintendo would do that.

Not sure why people hate Chronicles and Masterpieces. Masterpieces was the reason why I bought The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Kirby's Adventure off the Virtual Console and it's nice knowing a bit more about Smash's history.

I did that once (The control the damage) but it only worked on one person. At least no argument was brought up.

I liked the masterpieces. That's how I got to know Star Fox 64 (Yeah. I didn't know that yet until 2008. lulz ) I don't hate the chronicles but I don't like it either.

For Mario, I have no problem with Toad, but toad has been a generic character in the Mario universe for a while. They even have different color versions for him in the series. Toad is basic town folk like plantas from Super Mario Sunshine. Toadsworth is like the only toad I know that escapes this cause he's THE toad, Peach's right hand man, and we've seen him more and more in the series than the basic toad as a character with some development. Now it is a given that his chances are not impossible, but since Sakurai has the choice of putting more popular or less generic characters into the game and I don't think his chances are very high. To add on to that even further toad's value doesn't seem that high either. He's a character that you talk to for info, gives you stars or race's against u in Mario kart. If anything Koopa Troopa's have more of a chance of getting in than Toad, but still as I said he's not impossible.

Personally I'd replace Toad with Daisy or Rosalina.
Daisy even though she hasn't her own game, has been in other titles and her personality fits for smash. She's fairly aggressive for a female due to her tomboyish attitude and I don't think it'd be too hard to make a nice moveset for her. Also she has been one of peaches alts colors for a while now so I think she'd be a good addition but that's just me.

I think you're thinking about the wrong Toad. Toad is the royal captain of the Toad guards, knights, whatever you call them.

Also as a side note i just beat Sonic Colors. It was gay but better than most of the sonic bs they have been putting out.

It wasn't gay. I actually found it good. The older sonic games were better.

She ws originally supposed to be in TP, but was scrapped, but Sakurai still used that design idea. It really does not seem she'll be in SS (but who knows)

Why would you take two irrelevant spin off characters, in place of A character that has been prominent since the 80's?

edit: also Peach's b-move can be replaced with someone else(Possibly Toadsworth) or be completely scrapped altogether.

What about this guy from the Kid Icarus Uprising trailer?

Don't know who he is, but I do know he has a giant sword which automatically makes him awesome. Also, he's made in Sakurai's first non-Kirby and non-Smash game in quite a few years... I'd say he's actually a fairly strong contender for SSB4.

I smell this guy as an Assist Trophy, but nothing more.

Wait... If the character is caught in the pokeball, can't some player get the pokeball they're in and throw it off-stage? That wouldn't be good for those characters with a horrible recovery

Audino: It'll use Secret Power. The move either damages or heals opponents, so it's basically a luck-based Pokemon for the one who released it.

Litwick: It'll follow a random target. It may look harmless, but the target that it follows will take damage, due to its ability to suck the life force of beings. The damage is weak and doesn't flinch targets, but it can rack up if opponents don't get away from Litwick.

Stunfisk: It lies on the ground, doing nothing. However, if any players come into contact with it, that player will get zapped by Stunfisk's Static ability. The attack does moderate damage, but has little knockback.

Tornadus: It'll fly off and use Hurricane. Anyone hit by the attack will be heavily damaged, and even KO'd.

Victini: The player who releases Victini will get his/her strength enhanced temporarily; the power boost will be depicted by a fiery aura that'll be emitted from the player, along with Victini being next to that player. The attacks will gain fire effects, and deal slightly more damage and knockback than normal. The effects of the power boost only last until Victini disappears, which is about 12 seconds.

Sakurai said a while ago that Takamaru isn't going to be in a Smash game until he is in another game of his own IIRC.

This statement was made shortly after Melee was released and I think the statement was not if he was going to get another game of his own but if he appeared in another game, period. The reason I believe this is because of how he treated Pit. For Pit, he said that his chances laid in how well the GBA re-release of Kid Icarus sold. Of the 26 games that came out in the Famicom series, Kid Icarus's sales were dead last and several thousand copies less than the second worst, Metroid. The Mystery of Murasame Castle, Takamaru's game, was the third worst selling but consider this: Sakurai was impressed enough with Kid Icarus's sales despite the fact that it was the worst selling that he let Pit in Brawl. Takamaru has also made plenty of cameos since Melee including a good number of the Wario Ware games, Captain Rainbow, and an entire mode in Samurai Warriors 3 based on his game where he's playable.

For one thing, Cloud Strife never appeared on a Nintendo console. Solid Snake and Sonic both appeared on a Nintendo console, which is why they were in Brawl.
