He's too bigOh, yeah, I know Oasis, classic ridley supporter. I'm sure we'll get this place into full Ridley awareness, when the time comes. for now, scheming > : )
I laughed hard at this, hopefully that door has been increased in ft.He's too big
Also, how do people feel about this Adventure Mode/SSE design overhaul? As for integrating Meta Ridley into his moveset, how about the two swap places by death similar to how ZS Samus swaps with regular Samus by Final Smash?
You play as normal Ridley until you die, and instead of Ridley re-spawning, he is "re-built" and spawns as Meta Ridley, who would have his own minor moveset differences. After dying as Meta Ridley, normal Ridley is "reborn" and you spawn as him. This process is infinite, so the player needs to adjust his strategies after death according to who he has to play as.
Meta Ridley as an alternate costume could work too, but I think the above idea would distinguish Ridley further from the rest of the pack and successfully integrate Meta Ridley into the moveset.
IMO, this overhaul would allow you the freedom to select a character as in Melee's Adventure Mode, but also allows for some interesting possibilities with the storyline if SSB4 keeps the cutscenes and "fancyness" of Brawl's SSE, as you're basically exploring a separate slice of the story and mode with each character. For Adventure mode, I'd like the story to be less linear, and I want players to be able to play as any character they want in the story instead of using selected characters for each level.
To allow this, I think you should only play that character's part of the story when you select a character. For example, you select Pit. When you play Adventure Mode as Pit, you're only experiencing the levels that are parts of Pit's story, and only seeing cutscenes directly involved in Pit's slice of the Adventure Mode story.
However, to encourage players to experiment with their characters, you can only reach a certain major or climatic point in that character's story. At that point, you must play as other characters and complete their stories up to a point before you can continue that particular character's story.
Only when you've played with a fair number of different characters can you experience the end of the Adventure Mode story - and once you've achieved that progress through the story, you can play until the end with any character you choose.
The quality of the movies doesn't matter. Pokemon movies are generally heavily panned by critics and to lesser extend, fans, so of course it was going to happen. That didn't stop Mewtwo from being playable in Melee and I doubt it's going to stop Victini from gaining more support later on.Opelucid said:The thing is... some people actually complained about the Victini movie because Ash didn't show all of his current Unova Pokemon and because Iris and Cilan pretty much did jack. Zoroark actually has the build of a smash character but you know what... they can just put in both of them or something... or neither of them and put in Meloetta or Genosect but right now I'm still supporting Zoroark Victini seems like it would be low tier.
Seriously? Goku, Shel, and Master Chief all stand 0% chance of getting in any Smash game period.Chris the Ripper said:On topic:Goku from Dragonball Z and Shel from Portal 2 has a better chance than making it into SSB4 than Master Chief does. Why the **** would suggest that anyway?
Master Chief still has zero chance since a game did not come.OmegaXVII said:I would, it's not impossible since Master Chief was supposedly going to have a game on the DS back in 2007 but got scrapped.
I am in 100% support of Ridley as well. Oasis had some diagrams earlier in this thread that should silence the "too big" argument.
Regarding Ridley's moveset, an idea:

EDIT: Wow, you're quite the Fox player, Iblis.
OMG!! I wasn't being serious, it was a joke for heaven's sakes.Super Smash Bros said:.Seriously? Goku, Shel, and Master Chief all stand 0% chance of getting in any Smash game period. Master Chief still has zero chance since a game did not come.
Capture failure. The other version of it was weird, why?
Hunter da bess.Oh my god, do people not realize that Player-1 was trolling all the time? It was blatantly obvious when he said Mario isn't getting any reps and Goku would be playable. The best thing you should have done is ignored him.
Thank you.EDIT: Wow, you're quite the Fox player, Iblis.
Exactly my point, people need to stop ****** bashing and hating on certain characters just because their on another ****** system!!!Technically there was a Halo DS, it just wasn't released.
It does have a playable version though
Agreed, Medusa is my most wanted character from uprising.Medusa looks so pwetty.
That could work too. I don't want it to be a hassle for the player to finish his character's part of the story. You could just let the player finish the entire story himself as that character, but I'd want the player to try other characters so he can play through more and different levels and experience new sides of the story.First idea is pretty cool. I like the concept of using the death of a character as part of the strategy.
As for the last idea... Hmm. I'm, not too sure about that. That sounds like something a Sonic game would do. Make you play as X number of characters before uncovering the final story.
How about being able to unlock the character's final story if you beat it on Insane without continues, or something? I know it's hard, but it should be a reward, not a chore. That's my 2 cents.
Sometimes I ask why people make that statement. Bowser has been over 8 feet himself, but he managed to become playable. The same can be applied to Ridley too; the Melee intro proves that. He's too big
I wouldn't call someone who has snakes in her hair pretty.Medusa looks so pwetty.
I have to agree. Like BKupa666 said, there is nothing against Ridley that isn't purely subjective opinions. Which is why I consider him along with Little Mac to be the only near locks for SSB4.Sometimes I ask why people make that statement. Bowser has been over 8 feet himself, but he managed to become playable. The same can be applied to Ridley too; the Melee intro proves that.
u mad boi? guess wHat? ike SuckS worse than Sasuke.Dud stop felling the forums with meaningless spams!!! you suck you and your Naruto.....(P.S I'm a big Naruto fan) but it has no place in gaming.
NO!! NO NO!!!@Lord Hokage: No offense, but I would heavily advise you remove the anti-Mega Man thread immediately. It's old and the only purpose it shows is how embarrassing it makes you.
That wasn't me ordering you to remove it, just an advice so you look at least very slightly smarter.NO!! NO NO!!!
u ainT a mOd, u can't make mE do iT, bEsides, I liKe it so There..
oF course Bomberman iS better, he is Popular, bEsides hE's been in a diRect connection With Mario unlIke MeGaman, sides' MeGawhatever WoulD ends up pLayin Closer To samUs anywHo. :/Wow... So Bomberman is more deserving than Megaman because the former has "games on multiple Nintendo platforms"? Do you want me to count Megaman games VS Bomberman games on Nintendo systems? XD really?
I'm all up for Bomberman, but supporting him over Megaman using the excuse that he has "multiple games" doesn't cut it. Megaman is ... perhaps the 3rd party character with MOST games on a Nintendo system. You just can't compare.
