Smash Lord
I believe Issac deserves a spot in Smash. His move ability may have to be tone down from Brawl (that would be uber powerful). I would also like to see his Ragnorok move and a summon style final smash.

I think it mainly stems from the fact with that article they did a week ago where they wanted to take out Mr. G&W and put in Cloud.I still prefer IGN to GameSpot, though. After GS's review of Radiant Dawn, I can't stand reading any more of their official reviews.
And I was about to vote Ryu, but then I realized they aren't talking about the one from BoF, so I chose Mega Man instead. ):
Sakurai shouldn't have any concerns about being able to adapt Megaman into Smash Bros. Megaman has been in fighting games since 1997 so the work has pretty much already been done for him. Also, why is Dante on the poll where there has yet to be a DMC on a Nintendo console?http://wii.ign.com/articles/117/1174797p1.html
Anyone else cringe at IGN articles that talk about SSB? Also there is some poll for capcom characters in the link if you guys are interested. Megaman (who i voted for) is owning atm. This might affect who gets in for Capcom so better vote.
Because you can't spell ignorant without IGN! ZING!Sakurai shouldn't have any concerns about being able to adapt Megaman into Smash Bros. Make sure you state that in the comments and thanks.Issac deserves to have Smash rep in Super Smash Bros. 4, but I think he'll more likely then not be 3DS exclusive due to his origin in the handheld consoles and the series lack of console rep.
I voted for Mega Man in the poll. He fits the best out of all potential third-party rep and will almost certainly be the 3rd third-party character. Let's hope the Classic Mega Man gets in; there's a reason why I put Mega Man in my signature to support him.
@refugee: It stands for Breath of Fire.
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that lmao. I guess they aren't called IGNorant for nothing, eh?I think it mainly stems from the fact with that article they did a week ago where they wanted to take out Mr. G&W and put in Cloud.
EDIT: What does B0F stand for again?
I'm surprised that so many people want Viewtiful Joe over Ryu.
I could see that, I never gave thought to having exclusives for the separate games, just a smaller roster for the 3DS. I'm still hoping for a console appearance. ):Issac deserves to have Smash rep in Super Smash Bros. 4, but I think he'll more likely then not be 3DS exclusive due to his origin in the handheld consoles and the series lack of console rep.
If he is 3DS exclusive, we better be able to transfer him over if we have both. I want to see Isaac in HD. If I don't, I will still be disappointed to quite an extent.Issac deserves to have Smash rep in Super Smash Bros. 4, but I think he'll more likely then not be 3DS exclusive due to his origin in the handheld consoles and the series lack of console rep.
That would severely limit the number of characters in the roster. There will have to be exclusives.I think SSB4 and SSB3DS will have the same characters it's just that SSB4 will focus on multiplayer and the 3DS on will focus on single player.
Yeah same here, I find it extremely odd given the popularity of Street Fighter vs the Viewtiful Joe series.THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Done and done.refugee said:Make sure you state that in the comments and thanks.
My post on IGN said:Classic Mega Man isn't just my most wanted Capcom or third-party character, he is easily my most wanted character for Super Smash Bros. 4. Make it happen Nintendo and as long as Sonic and Snake gets in, I will be completely satisfied with the third-party section of the game.
He needs to happen, everyone should support Classic Mega Man for SSB4!
I'm really hoping for being able to transfer characters as well. There are quite a few characters I want to see in the game but just can't imagine being more likely on the console version. This is why I'm hoping that the 3DS version has no exclusive characters and stages, although the chances of that happening is very poor.Bassoonists said:If he is 3DS exclusive, we better be able to transfer him over if we have both. I think it would only be right, since the games interact with each other. We should definitely be able to have all characters in the Wii U version if we bought the 3DS version as well.
Probably because all his games except for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 have appeared on Nintendo's platform. What people don't recognize that no one from Capcom aside from Mega Man and maybe Ryu has much of a chance to get into SSB4.refugee said:Yeah same here, I find it extremely odd given the popularity of Street Fighter vs the Viewtiful Joe series.
Price in USD for a 3rd party remote: $ 34.90
Online Rankings, Voice Chat, Being able to see your opponents usernames, option for 1v1 (not just 2v2 and FFA), Online rankings for teams, Online user stats (Most used character, most played stage, etc.)As fun as character discussions are, let's move on to something else for now. Like online features.
Does anyone like the idea of having a separate online mode for tournaments? This is a huge thing in Smash, so much so that Sakurai must at least know some of it. We would be able to create our own tournaments without the hassle of having to exchange FCs or go into Friend matches.
Also, voice chat and lag-free online are a must.
Already discussed, but still glad that Friend Codes are finally dead. I love the PSN's Username system. Would also be nice if they would let you put space in between words and allow up to thirty character letters. Also I read an article saying that the WiiU will use Usernames instead of Friend Codes
So pretty much the basics mostly.Online Rankings, Voice Chat, Being able to see your opponents usernames, option for 1v1 (not just 2v2 and FFA), Online rankings for teams, Online user stats (Most used character, most played stage, etc.)
Stuff like that would be nice.
I'd also like to see the possibility of moving songs around stages. In Brawl alone, there were quite a few songs that seemed out of place. "SMW Title/Ending" comes to mind - it was on Delfino Plaza, but should have been on Yoshi's Island Melee.@PF9: I think the music should come with stages.
Agreed, this concept would truly be the greatest implematation that be added, more possibitlies would mean more fun with almost endless possibilities, heck even after launch people would continue to be hyped over it, meaning more sales overall.PF9 said:If they can't all be included by release date, I support the use of DLC, to like, bring back Pichu, Mewtwo, Dr. Mario, Roy, and OOT Young Link, as well as any others who may not return from Brawl.
DLC should also be utilized to bring back all the past stages as well - that is, those that can't be incorporated into the final game.
Other potential uses for DLC and other potential unlockables:
Costumes
Items (yes, unlockable items)
Modes
Music
With the ridiculous one Wii-U remote controller limit that severely hurts local multi-player, it's pretty much a necessity for Nintendo to make online as fantastic as they possibly can. I want to see online play that matches among the best and I'm sure others agree. For online, SSFAE has set a really, really good standard that's supposed to be trumped by SF x Tekken. Make it that good, Nintendo.
Actually, it doesn't hurt it as much as you think. There are two USB ports in the front and in the back. Assuming wired/wireless controllers are supported via USB, local multiplayer won't be much of an issue. With the ridiculous one Wii-U remote controller limit that severely hurts local multi-player, it's pretty much a necessity for Nintendo to make online as fantastic as they possibly can. You can still use Wii Remotes though. With the ridiculous one Wii-U remote controller limit that severely hurts local multi-player, it's pretty much a necessity for Nintendo to make online as fantastic as they possibly can. The problem being is that people, including core gamers, don't want to use the Wii Mote, which once the Wii-U comes out, is last gen tech (I'd be willing to put up with it, although I still wish we didn't have to use eventually last-gen tech). It should not be a necessity to have at least one Wii Remote out at a time and people aren't going to rush out and buy Wii motes. Developers understand this clearly and the fact that many developers that are making games for the Wii-U probably had no interest in developing the Wii, I would not be surprise if most games on the Wii-U are online only. Most of my multi-player gaming experience are online, so it doesn't affect me much; but others who don't have Internet will likely be left in the dust.Actually, it doesn't hurt it as much as you think. I don't care how much space the next game has for a roster, said space should not be wasted on characters that are just different versions of more popular characters. Dr. Mario would better work out as a costume for Mario anyways. If they can't all be included by release date, I support the use of DLC, to like, bring backPichu, Mewtwo,Dr. Mario, Roy, andOOT Young Link, as well as any others who may not return from Brawl.
Same, I just find it's funny how we would be fine with the basics because how bad Brawl's online was.Well, I'm fine with the basics. Nintendo seems to have trouble even getting the basics of online down-pat in the first place, so seeing a simple online that works well would be good enough.
Probably because Nintendo is promising a Xbox Live-like experience, it's only natural to have high expectations for the online section as well. Even if it's the best fighting online game we've ever seen, there will still be some people who cries about "OMG WHERE'S DIS FEATURE???". Personally, all I want for Sora Ltd. to do with the online is to get it right and make it fun for years to come.refugee said:Same, I just find it's funny how we would be fine with the basics because how bad Brawl's online was.
Each character has its own qualities that makes it special. I should point out the similarities between Mewtwo/Lucario and Roy/Ike too. Therefore, your argument is invalid.I don't care how much space the next game has for a roster, said space should not be wasted on characters that are just different versions of more popular characters. Dr. Mario would better work out as a costume for Mario anyways.
I'll probably end up using the Wii-U controller and if not possible, the Classic Controller as well (I don't have the Pro version). I'm just hoping we'll see a firmwire update allowing more then one Wii-U controller at a time.Super Smash Bros. Fan, you can still use the Classic Controller Pro.
