Paulina for Brawl! Eggplant Wizard for Brawl! Leon Powalski for Brawl! I had to literally facepalm every five seconds. As far as this new round goes, at least people keep their choices in the realm of possibility for the most part. Nothing as atrocious as the stuff from the pre-Brawl days.

There's always Waluigi that could receive a mass following. Right now, GameFAQs is infested with them. *gag*

I just saw a Youtube video called "Twelve Days of Christmas Day 10 Super Paper Mario Boss Themes". I'd like to see something like that in Sm4sh, but with a loop, an end, and better transitions.

The Brawl hype was one of my more crazy moments. Compared to what happened then, my Smash 4 hype is much less absurd.

I have been rather crazy with Waluigi during the Brawl days. That pretty much toned down as the years passed, so now I don't support him as heavily as I used to.

I've noticed a lot of this during June/July. Many rosters had 45 or less characters, especially ones on here and few had 50 or more slots on it. Expectations has been steadily rising for the most part, but still are more reasonable then I expected them to be.

What was hilarious is when those cults got their bubble burst due to a de-confirmation on the Dojo. However, there was also other ways in which a fanbase got "popped" (ie. the Sigurd fanbase when it was confirmed that Sakurai's favorite Fire Emblem character was actually Nabarl).

I am hoping Sakurai reveals who the Assist Trophies are pretty early. That way Purple Luigi is deconfirmed early on.

@SSBF:Expectations dropped after Brawl came out. Reality came through. So actually things would tend to be less absurd from the past reality check. So that's probably why things seem calm.

With less of a character pool to select from I find it obvious that expectations will be higher and predictions will be less crazy. (at least as long as people use some basic common sense)

Yeah, it's like, when Samurai Goroh was de-confirmed, suddenly Black Shadow support popped up? Instead of people learning from it, telling themselves "Well if this character didn't make it, then I guess others like him aren't either," they would tell themselves "HAH. SINCE THIS GUY IS DECONFIRMED THEN IT JUST PAVES THE WAY FOR THIS OTHER GUY YOU NEVER HEARD OF."

Nah, I am just honest when I like somebody and not basing it off of anything else. I try to separate what I believe is logical and what I like. Don't think it always comes across like I hope too.

So, besides trading personal insults what is the topic at hand? More reminiscing over the pre-Brawl days? Because I remember those times quite clearly, ignorance and all. Between Nsider and Gamefaqs it was certainly quite a circus.
