Personally I liked New Pork City and Spear Pillar.

I really only disliked 75m, Rumble Falls, Mario Bros, and Flat Zone 2.

Both Onett and Fourside were among my favorite stages in Melee, so I was disappointed at how poor New Pork City turned out to be. I think the only other stage I really like from Melee that did not return to Brawl (aside from Fourside), was Brinstar Depths.

I was personally very happy with Brawl's stages. Stages such as Mario Bros. and 75M gave the arcade roots of those series proper representation. Mario Circuit represented the Mario Kart series, while Smashville represented Animal Crossing. I really did like what was done with the stages, especially in the light of how they sometimes were used to represent an aspect to their respective series. I am personally hoping we see more of this in Smash 4.
Representation is nice and all, but those stages sucked big time. I hardly ever touched those stages. Same thing goes for New Pork City. It had nice music, but that's it.

I liked Temple, because, while it was big, it wasn't beyond big, and it didn't make fighting near impossible. It also didn't have a monster than can OHKO someone.

Likewise, I wasn't a fan of most of Brawl's stages either. Way too many gimmicks, or impossible to fight. Mario Bros., 75m, well, basically, if it's hard to fight because of the gimmicks, I probably didn't like it.

Do you think that stickers should be able to improve a character's ability while fighting? I would like to see a dynamic grow in which you can improve a character with using stickers.

(note that competitive gamers can take all of them off if they wish and there's an option to fight without stickers)
Don't they already? Of course they could probably do even more with them. Maybe effecting things like fall speed, jump height, dashing, etc. It'd be neat if there were a group of stickers that effected item drops. Like one might causes healing items to drop more frequently. Or projectiles. Or battering items.

Makes me think of each character as a KART. One stickers should give you a hang glider.

It appears I am the only one that really loved the Mario Bros. stage. I guess it helps that I used to play the Mario Bros. minigame in Super Mario Bros. 3 all the time when I was really young.

In SSE, yes. But I haven't noticed that in Brawl when fighting other people.

You're not alone. Really I can't really say I seriously dislike any stages. I would even say I liked Icicle Peak from Melee and prefer it to the Brawl version.

Looking at how Brawl had past stages for only the Original 12's respective series, chances are we are looking at at least 10 past stages.

Favorites
64: Saffron City, Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule Castle
Melee: Pokemon Stadium, Fountain of Dreams, Great Bay,
Brawl: Castle Siege, Spear Pillar, Frigate Orpheon,

Corneria/ Sector Z's Great Fox is a family place between me and my other smashing little brothers. That stage shall not be gone from the series, ever.

Here's my fave stages though:

64 - Kongo Jungle, Mushroom Kingdom, Saffron City, Sector Z

Melee - Brinstar, Temple, Pokemon Stadium, Green Greens, Princess Peach's Castle, Onett, Fourside, Kongo Jungle, Corneria, Yoshi's Island

Brawl - Mario Circuit, Pictochat, Smashville, Halberd, Delfino Plaza, Mushroomy Kingdom, Norfair, Skyworld, Summit, Yoshi's Island, Hanenbow

Stickers-styled fighting in SSB4? Reminds me of Tekken X Street Fighter's upcoming Gem-system. Will it make, or break the game?

Though I still don't like too-gimmick stages like Mario Bros (WHY DID YOU HAVE TO RUIN ME AND MY BRO'S CHILDHOOD PLACE), but there's one expection for me: Hanenbow. Maybe because I owned Elektroplankton...

Did anyone appreciate Sakurai's artistic interpretation with the Mushroomy Kingdom. I mean, when you think of Mario, you don't normally think of run-down, baron places DEVOID OF COLOR.

Personally, I didn't mind, but I was wondering if people rather he stick to the source material a bit.

Hanenbow is the only stage I always have off if I have any off. I will not lie. It should've been a second Kirby or Mother stage. Preferrably Kirby.

Also, if there's one past stage they can skip, it's New Pork City. I would've also liked, instead of Hyrule Temple, Great Bay, but since Young Link didn't return, and only Adult Link, it made sense to have a Zelda II stage, which stars Adult Link, heh.

As for courses I want to return...

Donkey Kong: None. They were both meh at best.
Mario: Mario Circuit. Delphino Plaza will probably be replaced by a Galaxy stage anyway.
Zelda: Pirate Ship.
Sonic/Snake: If they get one, both their courses were good.
Pokemon: Spear Pillar, it's atleast unique.
Star Fox: Lylat Cruise. It was a pretty good remake of Venom.
Yoshi: Eh. Doesn't need to be returned.
Wario: None. Give me a Wario Land stage instead.
Kirby: I'm fine with Halberd.
F-Zero: Port Town Aero Drive. It was pretty good.
Earthbound: God no. That stage was bad. Too big, terrible to fight on, taunt parties aren't even good on it...
Game & Watch: I wouldn't mind Flat Zone II.
No-Character Series: No returns, please.
Kid Icarus: New stage only. The stage wasn't bad, one of the better ones, but it's not needed.
R.O.B.: That would be presuming I want Mario Bros.(stage) to return, which is indeed no.
Metroid: None. They keep just remaking old courses(atleast in spirit). I want something completely different from Planet Zebes and Brinstar Depths.

Did I miss any series?

For some reason, I liked Temple despite its size. In fact, when I used to come up with movesets, I'd visualize it on the Temple stage.

Anyone remember Star's stage concept for a Nintendo console stage? It was just like Poke Floats, except with all of the home Nintendo consoles instead of Pokemon.

@HF
I could go for Phendera Drifts. And I wish that they'd stop giving us lava stages for Metroid. Only one portion in any Metroid game has that and it makes it look like it's just that. I could also go for Elysia from MP3.

Now I remember why I loved the Temple stage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FxISxlLWK8

Smashville has no CHARACTER to cling onto. I don't see it returning unless we get an AC characer.

I never said I didn't like it. I just don't see any good reason to bring it back, since courses have only been brought back so far because of the characters who come back. I'd love it to come back, I just don't see any reason to.

You're just making a conjecture. I doubt that was the reason why those stages returned.

Also, Sm4sh needs Tom Nook.

I'd do Blood Gluch before I did Anchor 9

There was no good reason to bring Ice Climbers back besides the stupid fact that they're the originals ._. But yeah, AC sucks.

I'm PRETTY sure we can live WITHOUT Tom Nook. Zizagoon would beat him to it first probably Lol

We're talking about courses, not characters, though. Cutting an entire series is ludicrous. Cutting a character when you have others from the same series coming in... not so bad.

I agree. We don't need an AC character. It'd be a good excuse to have Smashville come back. Also, as much as I love Zigzagoon, replace that with Deoxys, and I'm sold.

Whenever I imagine movesets, I for some reason imagine them on the Halberd. :awesome:

Yeah, I know, I mean it's just the same idea. But if you wanna go into this, Eletroplankton SUCKED.

AC DOES need some sort of rep, but Tom Nook... no. And the reference is that Zigzagoon is a Raccon, and so is Tom Nook...

If we were going to get a playable Animal Crossing character, it would be the "Animal Crosser" considering that was what Sakurai had in mind when he originally thought about giving Animal Crossing a playable character. I don't know what changed his mind that Animal Crossing was too pacifist to warrant a playable character.

I almost hope he does change his mind just to rub it in the faces of Nook supporters.

U-Tilt would be his/her exclamation mark emotion.
