I mentioned it. *Shot by Daisy*
It's quite an interesting combo!

Quite fun speculating fan reception and thinking how's SSB4 fandom gonna be like.

Ugh, it pisses me off when I kill this thread...

Speaking of Daisy, lol I remember somebody on here (I think it was Sonic Poke) telling me that Luigi and Waluigi are rivals because of both of them liking her

Diddy Kong keeps overlooking how Roy is actually one of the three most requested characters for Smash 4 in Japan, and how FE6 was actually quite popular over there. Also, how weak a lord is in a game has no merit on them being deserving for Smash Bros. Leaf is even weaker than Roy, but I think he would be the most unique possible lord that could be added. Smash Bros. fans like Roy and that is all that matters in the eyes of Sakurai.

Sorry Rosalina supporter but SSB Universe was deconfirmed a while ago; we're not even sure if Sakurai has even started serious development on it yet. :urg:

BTW, I agree with Horsetail, that thing looks kinda too high-tech for my tastes...

I'm not overlooking that, just disagreeing with it all. Chrome's support will only grow and will put Roy in the shadows soon.

Then they'd better remake FE6 soon if that happens.

Preferably bundled with 7.

He can, don't think its a good idea still though. And the joke is, it kinda goes against the reason why Roy got included in the first place.

I distinctly remember Sakurai NOT choosing Roy himself. Likewise, it wouldn't happen to be part of the reason FE6 is extremely popular, right?

I may not expect Roy, but he could easily return, and he may have as is in Brawl. Likewise, we still know next to nothing about Chrome besides his existence, compared to Roy who we can actually research, and even find ways to play his game. Roy, as of right now, would be more logical because there's better reasons.

Relevance and New is not a good reason, especially when they're nothing more than pretty much concept art. Likewise, a better idea is to WAIT before even ASSUMING the character is even good whatsoever. I'll take Roy over yet another blue swordsman at this time. It doesn't help that as of right now, Chrome only looks like an expy of Ike, which makes me shrug at best.

Here's that vehicle Pit's gonna use on Uprising. Looks just way too hightech to belong in Angel Land.
I'm honestly not surprised. I've seen more surprising things before(aka bloody demons in Kirby games). Still, that thing better not be Pit's new Final Smash. :awesome:

@Metal: Just make it less laggy. In Wifi now, I'm lucky to even pull out G&W's Oil Panic.
Just make every match like a Friend Match. Almost entirely lagless.

Would you guys say Sigurd should've made it in before Ike in Brawl? He was heavily suggested as well, and its the exact same situation.

Also, said this before but its extremely likely they decided to use Ike (or contacted IS) for Brawl before Path of Ridiance was officialy released (or at least, internationally). So Ike wasn't all that well known either.

And I doubt FE6 is the most popular FE ever actually.

Wi-Fi? I have 2 words for You: Operation: Connect. It didn't pan out how we wanted but we made buttloads of good ideas.

Sigurd was never heavily suggested. He simply had a bandwagon due to the lies spread by them that he was Sakurai's favorite Fire Emblem character. Once someone bothered to translate Sakurai's Melee journal and found out what he really said in regards to what his favorite Fire Emblem character was (Nabarl from FE1/FE3), his fanbase collapsed.

Also, I never said FE6 was the most popular Fire Emblem in Japan (its FE3), all I said was that its quite popular over there (it was the third highest selling game in the series over there).

NOOOOOOOOO

WE MUST HAVE MORE THAN THAT

How about voice chat, the ability to replay videos in longer durations than in Brawl, Special Brawl online, online co-op for Adventure Mode and Classic, the ability to set up online tourneys and host migration?

If Sigurd is KO'd, then Celice should take his place in the same manner as the Trainer's Pokemon switch out upon defeat.

On the subject of ONLINE, I was getting excited hearing all the hype over Mario Kart's online, but I'm really not impressed. And Uprising doesn't look to be much more than what Brawl offered.

Friend Matches are crap. Friend Codes are terrible. Go with something similar to XBox Live and PSOnline. Those, you know, work right.

And I only said that was FE6 was indeed popular. Roy being advertised in Melee certainly added to that for some people.

Well, I want longer replays too, but that's not really WIFI is it? Online co-op for Adventure would be too tedious, especially if it's like the SSE. Tourneys=yes.

I WOULD expect online co-op, actually. Sakurai hinted at it, didn't he? Saying he wanted less skilled players to be HELPED OUT by better players, and the helpful players would be rewarded for doing such things. I guess that doesn't necessarily mean co-op story mode, but that would be my guess for the moment.

Assuming the "customization" referred to some sort of updated sticker system, the reward for helpful players could be better stickers?

Online training mode?

And how about Heroes and Heralds AR cards for a separate mode?

Well yeah actually. You could replay battles you'd have online, and then you can upload them to YT or the DOJO

About the SSE, I'm hoping to see large-scale improvement of that so that's why I suggested online co-op

I think the fact that Roy was well-received in Melee was good enough for him to be seriously considered for a return and why I think he will received consideration again.

So, yeah, I was right. I knew MD had that easter egg.
No. the movie was released in July, 2005. That was the American release.

Ike was also added in most likely before his game came out. Or at least, he was considered by them before WE played PoR. Chrome is actually to me the most likely character to appear along Little Mac and a Kid Icarud character.
Ike's game was released outside of Japan in April 20, 2005, so they had time to see how Ike would fare among the Japanese game community.

Trophy/Sticker wagering perhaps?

Though stickers would have to be heavily implemented into the single-player experience for that to make sense. BUT, with Brawl, Sakurai was trying to branch Smash into something that's not only a great multi-player experience, but also a so-so single-player experience. I'm thinking... the story mode should definitely have levels that are designed for replayability, as well as designed to really TEST SKILLS? It should keep track of your completion time, maybe bonuses, or just some sort of scoring system in general. But then again he doesn't like leaderboards, so I guess it'd suck to SPEED RUN the story mode and not show it off.

I dunno, maybe I just loved Super Meat Boy too much.

EDIT: Though, what he allowed with the Target and Home-run videos was at least a step in that direction.

Online training mode? I don't recall anything like that for any game except for maybe Combat Training for Black Ops. As usual, I'm probably wrong, though.

Street Fighter X Tekken has it. When I saw that was gonna be included, I was so happy. I couldn't tell you how many times I just wanted to practice with people on SRK over XBL. Sure, it may not be lagless, but it gets the job done.

BlazBlue and Brawl both have a waiting Training Room. I just wish Brawl would let you choose the dummy or at least let it be where you can grab it.

More Possible Smash Bros Universe Images And Information Leak

link http://mynintendonews.com/2011/12/29/more-possible-smash-bros-universe-images-and-information-leak/.
Interesting find with the moveset info...what's keeping me believing it's fake is not the content itself (Sakurai likes "surprises," and King Hippo/Prince Sable fit the bill), but the fact that it's being leaked supposedly during the planning stages. Way too soon, in other words, especially compared to Brawl, which was very tightly under wraps.

Oh okay. That reminds me, do you think Stickers could possibly work somewhat like Gems in SFxT?

It could. Like I said, though, I'd prefer they use AR cards with specific slot numbers instead. The whole sticker thing was annoying when you tried to get everything you wanted to fit on that trophy stand.

It could go either like H&H or like the gems.

I was personally very happy with Brawl's stages. Stages such as Mario Bros. and 75M gave the arcade roots of those series proper representation. Mario Circuit represented the Mario Kart series, while Smashville represented Animal Crossing. I really did like what was done with the stages, especially in the light of how they sometimes were used to represent an aspect to their respective series. I am personally hoping we see more of this in Smash 4.

AR Cards would be a completely optional bonus type of mode, right, like H&H?

Do you think that stickers should be able to improve a character's ability while fighting? I would like to see a dynamic grow in which you can improve a character with using stickers.

(note that competitive gamers can take all of them off if they wish and there's an option to fight without stickers)

75m and Mario Bros stages looked horrible imo. It'd be much better if they properly made them, not just literally copy paste them.

And then came New Pork City. Which reminds me, that stage is guaranteed to come back in Sm4sh since it's the only new Mother stage. Along with it are Port Town Aero Drive, the Halberd, Lylat Cruise, Yoshi's Island, and Rumble Falls.
