I felt they'd be suiting as a pokemon rep from RBY/SAP/EMR, however, I could also see Duskull maybe.

Definitely R.O.B., and to a lesser extent Pokemon Trainer (Charizard!) since I was so surprised to see him. Especially since there was a Red for Brawl thread that got a lot of hate, lol.
Also, now that I remember, it's too bad Marth is going to get his updated design, as well as (probably) an english voice. Unless they wanted to keep it Japanese if only as a reference to the fact that he USED to be...
Let's see, all the Zelda character will be updated. Probably Star Fox and Snake as well... Anyone else?

I agree with your overall list except for the Starfox series.
If anyone should be cut, it should be Falco, he's always been a clone/ luigified character, unlike Falco, Wolf has room for potential change, besides Starfox needs to keep their antagonist, to many protagonist already.
But I agree with Ray Mk I, he needs some representation this time around.

I love the Starship Mario stage idea that appeared a few pages back. That's one of the ideas that seem to be perfect, and I have one question: Are you guys envisioning the ship sideways (so that the face is to the right) or from a front or back view? Sorry if this question was already asked and answered.

Well the fanbase is one factor, but ultimetly depends on Sakurai if he sees them fit or not.
I know a new rep for Fire Emblem might be in the works, but I really hope to see either Macaiah, Caeda or Black Knight even if his chances aren't that high.

Well, it would be nice to have some sort of reference as to why would you like the character. I mean was the game any good or something? It's a better justification than just add them for the lols.

Black Knight is a wet dream but I'd rather have Lyn over Micaiah or Caeda. The next Fire Emblem game is going to be either original , Sequel or Prequel to Radiant Dawn ( I hope it's a Prequel that Stars Zelgius and Greil) or a Remake....

I Also wonder why no one mentions Sothe? He wasn't a lord, but he was pretty much a main character of the latest PoR. I also think he'd be an amazing unique new character. A thief ftw.

I've never played it, and I doubt I ever will, but a limbless character who debuted in a fighting could be interesting.
