Yeah, eventually Nintendo is gonna reveal the third version for White and Black.

Then, a year or two later, the third generation remakes will come out (Raging Ruby and Shining Sapphire or some stupid name like that). Personally I would like to see elements of Emerald version in said game. Maybe make the 8th gym leader the one from Emerald, and make Wallace (the 8th gym leader in Ruby and Sapphire, but the Champion in Emerald) a super elite trainer. I like Steven as the champion.

But yeah, I don't think Gray Version will have an immediate impact on the 5th Generation of Pokémon roster spot "arms race." It will have a big impact, eventually... :psycho:  :troll:

Guys, I think I'm gonna be officially back to talk withcha regularly. /I got myself a 3DS few weeks ago, finally./

Now gotta find out what's been talkin' lately. (->_l-);

PKMN Gray? If it has more PKMN like the other "special" editions... I can just wait wee bit more before moving to 5th gen. (-lwl-)

EDIT: Workin' on revamped Lip-moveset, which will include A-attacks and more too. (-lwl-)

EDIT:: Sony SSB is called Title Fight... Kinda hard to digest that.

Heartgold/SoulSilver had a Crystal influence. It's called Battle Fontier, with the Battle Tower :troll: As for Ruby/Sappire remakes, if Wallace makes it in as the champion, I will use Sesmic Toss on the person who made the idea

I'm hoping for a couple of things...
First, old Legendaries make their appearneces in game, like the three Regis, which I've been waiting for, and HOPEFULLY Ho-Oh and Lugia. Also, Zorua and Zoroark should be catchable. Theirs nothing special about them except they can be resembled as Spy from Team Fortress :awesome: Also, maybe this time around you can catch... Victini?! :awesome:

Also, theirs another thing I wanted to mention... Kyurem has special moves, two of them, that resemble Zekrom and Reshiram's prime moves. I think their's a connection. What if, in game (Gray), N captures either Zekrom or Reshiram, due to story line, and with Kyurem, he learns one of the moves that resembles who he fights before the fight starts? Example: If you face Zekrom, Kyurem will learn Freeze Shock. If you face Reshiram, Kyurem learns Ice Burn. Then you can find/capture the other later on :awesome: Then steal N's.

Heart Gold and Soul Silver were near perfect remakes in my opinion. I love how they implemented and improved Crystal's story, and the random humor and cut scenes to make the overall games much better. The Gen 2 games I felt were the best and most unique. The only thing that the remakes could have used is another region (Hoenn or an upgraded Sevii Isles=???) and the ability to re-battle every trainer instead of just most trainers. Other than that I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my birthday gift of Soul Silver! And that shake running thing was a brilliant idea, even if I lost it!

If Steven isn't the Champion I will be disappointed. However, if there were 6 people you had to face at the Elite Four I wouldn't mind. I think it would add to the drama. Although if Steven was the Champion, I hope you could also face him in that cave you could battle him at like in Emerald Version (as in a stronger Steven). That and make Team Magma and Aqua both evil (and more memorable). Make them fight, but fight because they are evil powers colliding, all while fighting the "good guys." That would rock. That and maybe another Red battle. That Red fight is still the most epic Pokémon Trainer battle ever. To heck with the Lance, Gary, Gold (whatever the rival's name is in Silver and Gold), Giovanni, Steven, or N battles. The battle with Red is the greatest battle of all-time!

According to this interview, Nintendo President Satoura Iwata said there may be a brand new Zelda game for the Wii U out in as early as three years! Judging by the Wii U trailers of the shown Zelda demo, it may use a version of Link and graphic style similar to Twilight Princess, but obviously with way better graphics. It could also change, which is a strong possibility as well. The Wind Waker originally was suppose to use upgraded realistic graphics, and look how that turned out.

This could change what Link looks like in Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS. Personally, I would love to have both the Skyward Sword and potential future Zelda Wii U look as well.

Also, Shigeru Miyamoto has stated that he has thought about making the upcoming Zelda 3DS A Link to the Past meets 3D. This would definitely be interesting. A Link to the Past is one of the hardest Zelda games ever (after the first two, of course), and one of the best. It gave us most of the items that we didn't get from the original (hammer, different wands, a lamp, etc), or upgraded weapons (flute, bombs, etc). I think this is a great idea (ALTTP being 3D).

I wonder if Sakurai would consider making Young Link in Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS look like Link in the art for A Link to the Past...???...

On a more serious note, I have a feeling that as Sakurai said, how Uprising performs critically will affect SSB4. If the game is not universally acclaimed, we have trouble.
Where did Sakurai says this. In terms of having an effect on Smash 4, I think notably that Uprising's reception will effect whether Smash 4 gets one or two Kid Icarus newcomers.

I think Sakurai said something along the lines of "how well this game is made is the quality you can expect from Smash 4". So Kid Icarus: Uprising may not only affect how much Kid Icarus content is in Smash 4, it'll also have an indirect influence on how good it is.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is at least going to get fairly good reviews, just like all the Kirby games Sakurai developed that weren't Kirby Air Ride. :troll: Aside from Smash Bros., none of Sakurai's games have ever gotten close to "universal acclaim" with maybe the exception of Kirby's Dreamland, Kirby Super Star, and Kirby's Adventure (Kirby's Adventure FTW!).

I think we should focus more so on how Kid Icarus: Uprising plays for hints of the next smash bros, and any characters in said game not named Pit's chances of being playable in smash. I think, for instance, Palatuna or Medusa being playable, popular, or both in Kid Icarus: Uprising could increase demand for either characters to be playable in smash. Neither would guarantee them being playable, but it would definitely make things interesting for the question of whether or not a 2nd Kid Icarus playable character can happen.

While you silly people debate over such an issue, I will be over here sipping my tea laughing at you whilst you cower in fear. Trying to hide from my TV. A TV which can't be turned off, unplugged, muted, or have the volume turned down. The TV is playing the horror of all horrors, the Hallmark channel! It plays disturbingly loud. You are locked in a room and cannot escape. There is no escape. You must escape. You must escape this inescapable and horrifying room. If you don't escape, you and your soul will forever DIE!!!!!!!

KI will be fine.

Either way I'll end up liking whatever they do with the game, even if it borrows from SF. Waiting for a game for so long can make you like that.
IMO KI should come first before SSB4.

Was anyone disappointed about the lack of Pokeball characters in Brawl? Melee did it much better IMO. Brawl for example had Suicune and Entei, but no Raikou. Had Moltress, but Zapdos and Articuno are gone. It sort of felt they forgot about the item mostly.

:phone:
I like most of the added Pokéball Pokémon in Brawl, but the Melee and Smash 64 Pokéball Pokémon needs to return. All of the Melee Pokéball Pokémon additions were incredible. Plus removing the legendary birds and a lot of Generation 1 Pokémon is never going to get thumbs up from me.

There is also way too many "common" Pokéball Pokémon appearances. The chance of a particular Pokéball Pokémon appearing should be like Smash 64 and Melee (not Brawl) again.

Original Pokémon > The wanna be newest Pokémon.
I have been hoping that there would be a setting that allows you to choose which Pokemon will pop out of the Poke Balls. Of course, if you don't have any Pokemon turned ON, Ditto will almost always pop up and transform into a random Pokemon.

You don't have the option to turn OFF Mew, Jirachi, and Celebi, since they're super-rare, and offer CDs, trophies, and stickers. They might pop up instead of Ditto if all the Pokemon are turned OFF.

News on Victini:
I'm making a V2 of his moveset. It's known as "Originality Version". Olimar and ROB are very hard characters to link movesets with. I decided that Victini should be the same. V2 will mostly be a remix of what I have now, but with a few noticable changes, along with a new "Trait" involving Victory Star.
Also, Sony Smash just became epic:

Cratos VS Sly Cooper will happen. YES! Just the fact Sly is playable/comfirmed may just make me buy a PS3 :3

While I definitely don't believe Title Flight is ANY sort of competition for Smash really, I was wondering how you guys feel it's OBVIOUS E3 announcement will affect SSB4's mostlikelycinematic trailer?

IF ANYTHING, I was thinking it would push Sakurai to scramble and get a little tidbit together.

@Shortiecanbrawl: He'll probably try to get in four or five newcomers in if Sakurai is so concerns about this.

I don't believe Nintendo has to worry as far as competition goes, since they've been in the game for more than a decade now, whereas Sony's just starting. I'll still get Title Fight though, just because the thought of Kratos jabbing Parappa with the Blades of Chaos is just too amusing.

That said, if a possible E3 announcement does cause Sakurai to scrounge something for a teaser at least for Sm4sh, then that's fine by me.

I'll say something everyone can think about for a bit. In one of the latest segments of Iwata Asks for Skyward Sword it was stated that they would like to complete the next Zelda in about three years. If this were the case it would likely be that our next Zelda, Zelda Wii U, would arrive before or around the same time as the next Super Smash Bros. There is a 20% of having two mainline games released prior to Smash Bros 4 (cookie to those that get the reference.)

I will now proprose a theory. Given that Aounuma and Fujibayashi have mentioned how much was left out of Skyward Sword; what if we got a sequel to Skyward Sword akin to Majora's Mask or Galaxy 2 for the Wii U (HD, orchestrated, and all that jazz)? Both of those games I listed previously were developed in about two-three years. Given how Skyward Sword has been the most successful Zelda title out of the gate, and likely period, it would not be so outlandish to believe this to be a possibility.

Overall I see quite a bit of changes happening to the Zelda crew in this next game. Link, Samus, Donkey Kong, Pit, Luigi, Mario, Marth and Sheik are the individual characters I see receiving changes in the next game.

@Star: Sounds interesting. But I do think much of it will depend if the future Zelda is a direct sequel to SS similar to how Galaxy 1 and 2 were done.

Also I'm pretty sure there are a LOT more characters that should be added to that small change list. ;)

I already predicted that it won't be the Skyward Link or Zelda from way before SS was released.

yeaah..... I've already noted that next paragraph, but it's nice to see more people offering news they didn't get when I posted it.

If Zelda and Smash are released at the same time, or about the same time, yes I believe it'll impact the Zelda characters. And it's very likely Ganondorf will thus return (if he's in Zelda Wii U, which I believe he will) which I somehow doubted before. It's also likely we likely will not see much Skyward Sword content then. If they refined the models as they that well for just a trailer, I think they'll go for the more 'realistic' TP-style again. It imo looks very, very good.

Personally I'd like to see changes to just about every character anyway, but I agree with the ones mentioned, except for Sheik (except if she returns in Zelda).

I suppose it depends on HOW EARLY that Zelda is released. MONTHS before Smash, I doubt it will affect anything. A year before, that sounds different.

Besides, wasn't the latest Zelda supposed to be coming out on the 3DS?

Also, why is everyone fussing over LINK and his looks? He always looks the same. Green uniform. NOW ZELDA is where I'm curious. I'm hoping SS's outfit sticks. ALSO ALSO, since SS is supposedly now the best Zelda game ever in the history of ever in every aspect, why would they choose ANY deisgn that wasn't SS? Considering it would still be newish then, and is supposedly the best thing ever?

Especially considering I DOUBT that we will see LoZWii U early enough to impact much of SSB4, and the 3DS game probably won't affect much.

It is, but the context of the discussion was pertaining to a console title. For me, and this is just me, I would not have a problem if Skyward Sword received a sequel. Ocarina of Time had Majora's Mask, Wind Waker had Phantom Hourglass and in a very loose way Link's Awakening saw Oracle of Ages and Seasons. So it would not be unprecedented, but the question is would they? Honestly I could see it happening. Given how well Skyward Sword is doing for the most part and how the ending is open ended in a way that a sequel could take place afterwards. If we could have a sequel that further established the founding of Hyrule among other things I am sure it would be alright.

One other benefit for Nintendo is it could give them a Zelda game for the Wii U early in the life of the system. This along with Mario, the eventual release of Super Smash Bros, and the evolving of the Wii series would likely do well in setting the Wii U in a very comfortable position. Considering the Xbox360 successor is likely to be released very close to the release of the Wii U, and with Sony announcing recently they do not want to launch their next console too long after the others [Nintendo and Microsoft] launches theirs. This next generation is going to become very crowded early on and Nintendo is going to need some big guns to help them out. They cannot afford another mishap in their "launch window" like they had with the 3DS.

Also, Ghirahim is now my number one choice for the next Smash Bros. After playing this game further and seeing more out of him I want this guy as a playable character! I can so easily come up with a moveset for him based upon his three forms alone. Fabulous overdramatic evilness with a side of androgyny for Super Smash Bros 4. Sakurai better finish that copy of Skyward Sword he has...

looks generic... the only thing i don't like is Paper Mario... but that's just a personal vendetta against him... what's the wow factor?

(edit: at your Ghirahim mention... didn't he die in skyward sword? i still don't see him in smash as a fighter.)

I think that's a spoiler, but I haven't played Skyward Sword to know yet.

But like I said before, Ghirahim should stay away from the playable position. Make him an Assist Trophy, or merely give him a trophy cameo, but that's it.

Sorry, going to have to disagree. His over the top personality and play style are all the reasons for me why he should be playable. While he may not be the most original villain he is certainly one that does not come from Nintendo often. Flamboyant, menacing, devious, and lethal. I, frankly, do not care about any other mitigating factors such as death (which is not really an issue in a game that is not canonical anyways) or being a one shot character. Supporting a character is not like owning a stock which goes up and down with every change in situation. It is about supporting a character I think would make for a fun fighter, and would bring something unique to the rest of the roster. I feel Ghirahim can do that and think him one of the better choices for a playable character in the next game. Period. Come at me bros!

Now you've done it, Starphoenix.

I blame myself. I should have reprimanded you the last time we posted, but I was... Soft. I'd take pleasure in punishing you, but I have no time for recreation. But next time I'll do more than just beat you Senseless. I'll make the affair so excruciating, you'll deafen yourself with the Shrill Sounds of your own Screams.

Unfortunately, there are a few who do, although it is mostly positive. Like you, I also pledge my support towards Ghirahim.

Generic in this case is good. I don't expect as much newcomers as we had in Brawl anyway.Small thing I disagree with is Krystal over Wolf, Roy over Chrome (or generally a new FE character) and to a lesser extent Dark Samus and Mega Man.

I don't know who Ghirahim is, but I know, from pics, that he's a creeper. At least he isn't Tingle Lol

A character who died can't come back? Technically, the Lucario from brawl is the Lucario from the movie, and he died in that movie. Didn't ROB die, too? :troll:

It makes me laugh that you guys want this newfound villain and this replacement of Ganondorf. Everyone knows that Redead is making his way to the 4th smash :awesome:

@SwayneGang: We'll probably get a child Link. Add Young or Toon Link in.

Drop Dark Samus. Metroid probably won't get a third rep and Ridley is the only real choice for a newcomer

Also, swap Krystal with Wolf. I doubt he is getting cut. Krystal is possible, but I only see her if Star Fox gets a fourth rep.

But it is a good roster.

Ahahahaha XD

Actually I am not advocating for Ganondorf to be replaced. Rather that Ghirahim is playable own his own merits. No replacing necessary. Although if they were they should just use the kiddie Link slot. Just tie adult and child link together just like Zelda and Shiek. Just an idea.

Bit thinking that Ghirahim might be this new "Vaati/Zant for SSB" in means of hype. Hmm. (-l,l-);

/Haven't yet cleared Skyward Sword, but I heard Ganondorf's not in it. I guess that helps creepyass Ghirahim a bit, but don't still believe he makes it over Tingle or any other Zelda-character.
