Sakurai is playing MW3, how ****ed is the next Smash Bros?
Holy firggen crap!!!! o.O The world is over. A Japanese citizen is playing a first person shooter that doesn't involve RPG stuff or Square Enix. SOMEBODY ARREST THIS MAN!
No really, even though I don't like Modern Warfare (CAMPY!), I think he deserves to have time to enjoy playing a few games. The man worked his butt off on Melee. (the Greatest Game of All-time in my books!)
If I was Sakurai, I would severely limit or stop my Twitter posting once a Smash 4 trailer is revealed. At least avoid posting about Smash 4 much.
Kind of the charm of Smash. How much did you guys expect Ice Climbers or even ROB.
I agree (although all the Wario Ware characters aren't main characters... but then again neither was Pichu or Dr. Mario).
I want Kamek.
He has a HUGE moveset potential. She can summon goombas or burning shy guys or something
I think every person ever wants Kamek as a "WTF?" character. I can't believe the Mario Kart series dropped Kamek. Kamek is too damn awesome to drop!
Plus summoning enemies is just the tip of the iceburg as to what Kamek could do. If you think about it, Kamek could be the first true magician character in smash. That's not counting psychics, which are different.
Come to think of it, I remember hearing in a review or two that the way they treated the whole game was like Metroid in how you backtrack once you get this or that item to see more parts of the area. I kind of like that idea. IDK if there was any technical reason behind this, but I'd like to see more games explore Metroid's backtracking concept more.
I'll have to see how this is implemented in Skyward Sword.
It could be interesting. Metroid Prime 1, 2, and 3 didn't have the biggest over world or locations, but the way they changed or how they were used was epic. Each time you went to a location it felt fresh (at least to me). The entire environment in those games was... enthralling... enchanting... and exciting.
If Skyward Sword was made with a lot of replay value (aside from beating the game multiple times), you should be able to collect a crap ton of stuff and go through each area in different ways. Each area should change every time you visit it, or have a ridiculous amount of secrets that make you want to keep playing the game (like Donkey Kong 64' secrets, but with the awesomeness of Batman: Arkham City). As long as the world doesn't feel like "empty space" after you beat the game like Twilight Princess felt like. Seriously, there was nothing to do after collecting all the bugs, hearts, and the pit of 100 trials. Those features were nice, but more stuff felt needed. I dunno why, but A Link to the Past and the original Legend of Zelda's over world were always the funnest to just mess around on Maybe that's because those enemies actually do a noticeable amount of damage.
Edit: Apparently on Youtube you can livestream the world championship of Star Craft 2. Huh... I never knew people still played that game...
