Speaking of this, I really, really want Mewtwo to return. If Mewtwo were in Brawl instead of Lucario (or if Mewtwo was in at all), Pokemon's playable character representation would have been perfect.

Meowth, some 2nd gen love (Scizor, Tyranitar, Heracross or Typhlosion) or some 3rd gen love (Deoxys, Blaziken, Swampert or Sceptile) would have done it for me (alongside Mewtwo, of course).

Great Stage to you too. It's funny when I was debating on what stage to do next, SF crossed my mind. But with the stages all being flat, I came to the conclusion that this was a reason that Ryu won't get in over MM. And you proved me all wrong.

To be quite honest Steam has never said he didn't like Mewtwo. Only that he wanted Lucario over Mewtwo. He has just come to the place where he is saying, "forget the 5th generation, give me what I love". Which I agree with. We should not need Zoroark or Victini or whomever the next 5th Generation character could or should be. I must be the only one who feels that the Pokéballs do enough representation for the series and always having a "revolving door" is not that exciting.

But the part of my roster that I was thinking of changing was one I just wasn't sure about to begin with because I knew so little nor cared about the said series (that and there was LOT of flamming).

And now thinking about it I do agree with your thoughts and to some extent some others. While I may not fully utilize them, I do want to take them into consideration now.

Besides I was already planning on changing up my roster by a lot even before I posted it.

Also a Super Genius? I can actually believe that. Every time you post here, everyone just freaks out and asks you to answer their questions. So yes, a Super Genius title sounds in order.

I agree. Nobody saw Mewtwo's cut as they did with the other four clone characters that were cut (including Young Link). I think that he does have a chance of reappearing in SSB4; however, the only issue with this is if the Pokemon roster will have enough spots to guarantee the Psychic Pokemon a spot.

Pikachu and PT seem to be staples while I don't see Jigglypuff leaving anytime soon. Additionally, we will probably be getting a 5th gen Pokemon (my bets are on Victini) to promote the latest generation of Pokemon. However, will Lucario be leaving? Mewtwo left for unknown reasons, but he was still planned right? Who is to say that Lucario will be cut? Regardless, it does seem that he would be the most likely to leave if the cut does occur.

Personally, I think Mewtwo's cut had to do something about the issue that Sakurai stated about some problem with communicating to the Pokemon Company and their judging of Sakurai's Pokemon roster. I think they might have influenced the Smash development team to select Lucario as a higher priority than Mewtwo (considering that there were limiting amounts of spots for the roster).

You do have a good point here. We should support what we want, not what is popular. Personally, I'm fine with Brawl's roster for Pokemon, so I'm not really picky on who gets in. Heck, I even made a large list of Pokemons that I would be happy with. All I need is four of these that I listed and I'm set. Anything over just swapping Lucario for Zoroark.

Well I guess popularity isn't everything and thats the kind of thinking I'm going to try and go back to when I redo my roster. I guess after being bombarded for 2-3 months with so many ideas and opinions which all create a kind of propaganda that brainwashes you. Heck this may be the very reason this thread has fallen in grace as we all think started to think in same way.

Anyway for now I've got to go to class, but when I return tonight hopefully I can post my 3.0 roster.

Although this doesn't mean that I will remove Waluigi just yet.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, but he's still going to be 2D, and in conparison to everyone else, just not as nice to look at. WHICH is never good. IMO. Besides, when has a Mario/Link incarnation ever NOT been a clone? I could see Paper Mario being a Luigified clone of Mario, sharing two or three of the same B-Moves, and a few other attacks. At the end of the day though, he's just another Mario, which Toad and Junior are not.

Besides, in the Mario RPG wars, we know who takes the cake....
