Hey one and all. Just thought I'd check in, since I'm not currently drowning in art deadlines. Anybody care to share anything that's happened in the last 3 weeks that's worth noting and hasn't been discussed to death already prior to the start of said 3 weeks?

Aside from the silly rumor about "Smash Bros Universe."

What's good with you man? A new Fire Emblem game got announced, so we had a big debate about it a while back, if that interests you.

I'm just afraid of an imbalance, that's all. Too many Mario/Pokemon characters or something like that. I prefer a clean five Pokemon, five Mario, and possibly five LoZ (Should/could stay at four). It could definitely work, but it could end up looking weird as well.

Yup, appearances seem to be quite similar, I heard both Ike and Chrome also play similar but I'm guessing Chrome will posses something Ike does not, hence why Chrome wouldn't exactly be like Ike, more like a "semi-luigified" form of Ike, i'm not to sure about his actual playstyle until more details about him get revealed, as of now it seems Roy has the upper hand due to him being popular in Japan and demanded for Smash as well, not to mention is Sakurai's personal favorite.

THIS is what i respect, when people admit they are being biased, people always seem to treat their rosters as fact, which shouldn't be.

and the first part was unbelievably obvious sarcasm.

basically the only difference between marth and roy in melee was that you could crouch cancel like all of roy's moves so roy was total balls compared to marth.

and those rosters need more lucario obv.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind Roy but only if he got an original moveset, otherwise Chrome would be the easy solution.

I do not see the problem with cutting a character or stage from SSB4. If a character or stage is cut, what's stopping you from playing that character or that stage in SSB64/Melee/Brawl? You could play Brawl (and other Wii games) on the Wii-U and you could download Melee (and other GCN games) from the Wii-U Virtual Console anyway and SSB64 is already available on the Wii Virtual Console.

Keeping everyone and every stage from previous installments while adding a few characters and stages only make the new installment feel like an expansion than a sequel. What's the point of downloading SSB64/Melee or going back to Brawl if every character and stage from those three games are in SSB4? Gimme some good reasons why I want to replay the old Smash games, you know? That's why I have no qualms with cutting old characters/stages to make room for new characters/stages.

Well, it may not be a problem for you but you forget, Sakurai is the one who decides if he wants everything or not, personally I would love go see every character and past stages.

Of course I don't see it happening, but new characters would be nice along with older one, excluding The Doc.

Muddy Mole would be sweet! When Mole Mania is available on the 3DS Virtual Console, I highly recommend everyone here to download it! The game is really good and challenging... and of course, it would show Nintendo/Sakurai that Muddy Mole has fans/supporters.

A few years ago, I had a idea for Muddy's Final Smash. Muddy would go underground and then Sundes (the sun boss from World 2) appears from the sky and he/she/it goes supernova on everyone and then the sun goes away as Muddy pops out of his hole.

The sun appears at 7:44 in this video.

That'd be awesome, and it would be even better if before he went underground, he just adjusts his sunglasses and strikes a "Sucks to be You" pose, before leaving the opponent(s) to face the oncoming apocalypse.

Also, how well do Kirby games sell? Do they compare to the DKC series?

Well, for what it's worth, DKC 1&2 along with DK64 all made it to best selling games list for their systems. No Kirby games have done that, as far as I know.
