Change 1 or 2 things by means of items, and new moves (do nothing to the actual battle system).

You have no idea how much was changed within the battle system. It's farther apart than 64 is to brawl lol. The only legitimate comparisons there is damage sends you further and if you don't recover, they die. Like in pokemon, moves do damage, and they die at 0 hp, and some moves are super/not very effective. Pure basics are the only thing the same, don't make me post a 100,000,000,000,000,000 word long post explaining the differences
