First off, horay for Kirby King and Gid on the new setup, very snazzy. How about you guys join me for a meal? And everyone else too, because todays update is Superspicy Curry, from the Kirby Series.

This items spicyness is intense and causes your character to have flame pour out of it’s mouth while fighting.

Unlike the fireflower however, the fire continues to come out while you can then play as normal, so after eating this you can still do all your moves like normal, you just have fire coming out at the same time. Great for combos!

EDIT: Just found out from <a href="http://smashboards.com/member.php?u=61008">Silver777</a> That it’s from Kirby’s Dreamland on Gameboy. It let him blow fire for a short while or until he touched water.

Again I say nice change to the blog chaps, even if it didn't hold me at first.

spicy curry seems too much like a bunny hood type item. The bunny hood was neat at first but then I begin seeing it as much/less a lame item. The third pic with diddy and yoshi looks like diddy let out a steamy one. The true power of spicy curry. Just wait till Wario gets a hold of it.

I'm beginning to like the amount of diversity in the items for Brawl.

Each new item is interesting, yet could increase the excitement factor. This coming from someone who prefers to not use items.

I'm really liking the sheer variety of items it looks like we're going to have, especially if they don't take any out between games(though it's possible).

This game is really becoming a sequel in every way to Melee. And I love it that way.

I LOVE CURRY! But really though, I find the fact that Diddy Kong has expendable limbs withs some of his attacks to be the biggest part of this update.

If it is possible to hurt someone with a flame during a regular attack, that whole thing with Link's sword being a hitbox when it's sticking out could be true. I'm being vague I think.

This item is from the Kirby universe. It's about time. In Melee, Kirby got a lot of stages and items, but not a lot of love in the "lets make him a good character" department.

There are two very important things to take note of.

1) Diddy (as well as all the other characters) will hae to have custom/unique fire breathing animations. This is significant because this is a lot of extra animatino work/data just for the addition of one item. This should show you the level of detail that they're taking Brawl in.

2) Diddy (and Yoshi too) appear to be on fire. Remember when I was talking about unique hits and expanding what the elements do in smash. It seems that there is a new "catch fire" ability. Maybe all fire attacks can potentially catch peopel on fire. Maybe fire attacks can add to any flaming body. Who knows.

Maybe I just dislike the word "noob." Maybe if it said "Smash Newcomer," then it would be less degrading and actually fall into the world of Smash.

i have to be honest, the thing i loved about the blog was that it was so simple to read and to post and have a discussion about anything, it was just type and post.. now we have all this things to do i think lots of ppl will give up on coment.. and will not be the same thing.
I guess that the blog being in here is cooler for some ppl, and maybe it will not be down for lots of time like it is allways but the simplicity of the blog 4 me and 4 everyone was all that we loved.. now it's just more complicated like in all the places i've been before i founded the blog, so i cant really say that i like the change...

I think u did this with good intentions but....... this is so bad =| and the proff 4 what i said before is that not so many ppl coment this yet, if it was on the old site this post would be full of coments of ppl making fun of diddy or just coming up with new strategies for the item.. stuff like that...am i right? Adaptation?

Now being relatively new to SmashBlog (around two months) and not really knowing anything about SmashBoards, SmashBoards seems a bit extreme to the mellow relaxation and (from what others say) simplicity of the old SmashBlog.

I find that I'm very adaptive and in fact willing to try new things, and change the format of a particular order. However....

Not if that order is as highly argued against right from the get go.

Let's simply look at the Pros and Cons, and I'll be the devil's advocate to both sides.

Pro:
-Connecting to SmashBoards could bring more people to comment on SmashBlogs thus creating vast more opinions and insight to the game we all love.
Con:
-Connecting to SmashBoards could bring more people to comment on SmashBlogs thus bringing stupid and ignorant discussions, a less established community, and create SmashBoards2.

Pro:
-Smash Boards has more features that will enhance the experience
Con:
-Some may find navigation and features to complicated, creating a negative attitude; and may push already devoted members to only reading and not interacting.

Pro:
-It's basically the same thing, with cooler stuff and more people
Con:
-Why change it, if its the same thing?

Pro:
-More viewers equals more money? Right?
Con:
-Combining the site with SmashBoards will cause SmashBlogs to slowly integrate into Boards and it will lose its popularity and purpose.

I'm going to have to remain neutral. I think I understand why the move was made and am glad to adapt, but what's the point of adapting if everyone else up and leaves the community which has grown on you? Plus, a bigger place means more selfish idiots who won't appreciate what one has to say, and will just insult you? (This happens a lot in Boards like these, and in my time at SmashBlog that never happened once to me.) I appreciate this.

I don't want to quit, but if this starts to degrade in intelligence and community, I'll just read the Dojo Updates and go on with my life. That's what I was doing three months ago.

I write too much because I care.

A lot of people are already dissing the new blog because of the fact that it's too much like the laaaamme forums and that this will lessen the amount of comments. I think that's the point. It must be to stop all the random chit chat and lay down a more suitable blogging basis. I can't say I perticularly liked the change at first either but hey I think I like not having to mow down 150+ comments just to post. Though if bloggers like Falco, Kinnikuman, sneaky, etc. leave then I too find little point to stay.

I say dear chaps please give this blog another chance because I'll be sure to stay.

Plus you can now post picks ^_^

I was rereading the update when I thought wait what if this confirms the food from melee. After all Sakurai said "Of course, this is no ordinary food, because when you eat it..."
I know that could just mean that spicy curry is food but I see this being intermingled with the other dishes. When you think you're getting a slight recovery...WHam it hits you

Second, I didn't even know Kirby had this ability in one of his kirby games. That's really something.

It looks like Sakurai added expressions to Brawl (bring punched and such doesn't count). It's a improvement to me. Least now I know they have a sole XD

I like the new blog layout. Maybe I don't like the black/white contrast because it gives me a headache but other than that, I like it.

I also like the spice curry item, sounds like a neat item to use and definately doesn't seem like it would be annoying to use. Normally I get kind of bummed about item updates, but it had been a while since the last item update and there have been a lot of juicy bits of information regarding new characters and the new adventure mode.
