Are you stupid? I showed how dumb your logic is in an if-scenario. I doubt that he is playable, but you indicated they would delete all the work because Ubisoft doesn't support the WiiU anymore (with good reasons).

Kinda weird Sakurai doesn't mention the character reveal in the PotD text. But let's face it, it's going to be Shulk. And although I love to see him in Smash, I just wish the gematsu leak never happened. Kinda killed all the surprises..

Banjo has always been my most wanted character, while Rayman has always been my second. No characters whatsoever come anywhere close to how much I want them. It's extremely close though, since it pained me to pick a favorite, so Rayman would still make me just as happy as Banjo would. Though Banjo would have more impact since my brain would break from it.

Exactly. Literally at this point I'd be so hyped if we got a character I'd never even heard of, just because Gematsu didn't predict it.

I don't even have a problem with the characters in the leak (hell, chorus men look SO fun), it's just that if we actually DO know the characters in advance it takes away all the hype, ya feel

I doubt Rayman is a new character simply because Sakurai put this post on Miiverse on the exact day a new character is going to be unveiled. There might be an ubisoft character though. Just the way Sakurai's post looked when talking about rayman seemed suspicious. Like Ubisoft has been at this for a while.

But seriously, what Ubi character could possibly be as iconic and loved as Rayman? If it's not Rayman, it's no one, that's like saying Lloyd Irving ever had a chance againist Pac-Man.

I doubt we're getting Rayman today.

1. I don't think Sakurai would ruin the big reveal like this.
2. He said they were going to use a 2d reference for Rayman which they wouldn't need to do if they already had a fighter model.
3. If it's not Rayman it won't be any other Ubisoft character.

I'm guessing Sakurai just said to himself "3rd party trophies? Well why the hell not?".

I think it's pretty cool, it opens the door to getting trophies for 3rd party games we love on Nintendo consoles, but it's still a Nintendo experience.
