Went to a tourney Saturday, too lazy to post about the details, BUT I only got 17th out of 26 ;_;.
Beat a ZSS with Fox/MK, lost to a Marth(the best in GA) with Fox/MK, and lost to a Pika with Ness.
However, I decided to use Ness on wifi after Friday

Omg guys I feel so sad, I broke a Yoshi's shield with PSI Flash at 80ish% and failed to kill him with a charged PSI Flash.

I feel like such a failure... At least breaking a Yoshi's shield is an achievement in itself, so yay?

just use a psi rockin omega next time
you have to perform all of his psi-abilities (pk-flash, pk-fire, pk-thunder, psi-magnet [not concluding pk-starstorm]) in the same 5 frames and you'll be able to use it

also, you may have to eat some magic tarts because you need more PP, and psi-magic insta-use them for psi-lifeup all the time, so this doesn't work

i would main lucas too, if there wouldn't be ness in ssbb xD ... lucas was my first main in ssbb, but after like 3-6 month, i changed my main to ness, because he seemed better to me and i enjoyed playing both equally ... but my lucas was way better xD ... so i learned ness and stopped playing lucas after a while .... sad story ;_;
someday i have to learn how to play lucas again, and at that point the lucas boards will be allive forever















but my lucas still sucks, so i can't say anything about him or discuss about him, so i can't help to revive the lucas boards ;_;

Haha, whatever gave you the impression Lucas was a ground spacer? Dair is one of his safest moves, Fair actually does have some range, Uair has gigantic priority, Nair is good for combos, Bair is actually reasonably safe if you can get the hitboxes out (or at least on shield, no one ever seems to PS this because it's hitboxes are weird...), etc...

Lucas is wayyyyy more aerial based. It's why I can transition so well from one PSI kid to the other. <3

Yeah I love Lucas SHPKF. It's way useful, but personally I don't think I'd use Lucas vs. Snake outside of friendlies because of acertainspaceanimal...

Lucas vs. Snake is stupidly in Snake's favour (though i'm not sure if it's as bad as Marth: I've always personally thought the MU was closer to -2 anyway but hey i'm an optimistic Lucas so what can you do? ) but it's one heck of a fun MU to play. =D

Grenade game is like, so much fun!!

Yeah I actually thought about picking up Lucas for a while, but dunno now...I've already got three chars.Don't know Lucas as well as Ness but if I do pick him up I'd use him more rarely anyways.

I know almost all the AT's for lucas, except for Dustersliding. I can do a slow version of it, and the quick version only 10% of the time.
also i could do wavebounced PKJ if i used b-stick but screw that lol

I'm o.k. with the dusterslide but the rest i'm decent/good with. :D

I generally find dusterslide to be less useful: it works better when you have no tethers left and by then you're pretty vulnerable. :/

But yep, Lucas is one of the most technical characters for sure, alongside characters like Peach and Squirtle and the like.

I came up with a nice little trick for recovering few months ago: When you are out of jumps offstage and getting edgeguarded, go for footstools. You can just mash jump and it will have no effect on the game if you dont actually footstool your opponent!

I know it sounds obvious but I dont really see anyone use it. Even with Snake who can footstool after his up-b...

I have done it for some time and found out situations where it works very often. Like when you DI/pop out of MKs fair, just move onto him and press jump.
