Yeah it's nothing special really ;P
You can aso cancel your PKT2 on a platform and can follow up with a nair xD
And you can cancel it on the ledge, I did it a few times but the timing is so hard.

Yink, well going by that logic, who would you suggest? Match-ups I think vary more on the player themselves & the stage more than they do the character, I'd say. There are plenty of lesser players using good characters. I guess that's why no matchup is ever 100-0, but you get what I'm saying. But yeah, Toon Link is a lot of fun, as is Yoshi.

CeeNL, Kirby is good too, Kirby can get kind of boring for me though, since he hasn't really changed much since 64 I feel, and I played him a lot in those days. I used Luigi in Melee too, I think Melee Luigi > Brawl Luigi, and Melee Mario < Brawl Mario, even though FLUDD kind of sucks.

Oh, guyz... yesterday i found a funny thing... FH Dair autocanceled on a BF platform. I didn't think it does that... could someone confirm it?

EDIT: it could be FH FF dair....

I feel this is being dodged slightly... NOT barto's thingy.

picture this: FH up and start your dair as you jump. FF onto the platform as you get to the height of your jump.

I think it MAY have been that I jumped and pressed cstick down, so the dair is delayed slightly, but it autocanceled on the BF platform, and anything that is fairly easy to auto-cancel AND can be put to good use (dairing people through a platform is always good... but only tall characters can get hit) should be considered.




on an unrelated note, PKjump backwards is freaking hard to do.

Use someone who counters marth, ddd, Ike, and that other guy who is bad for ness... mk is that guy, but I don't like mk.

ZSS does pretty well at covering all of Lucas' bad MUs for me. But that's Lucas

However ZSS does well against Martha, DDD, Ike, and MK. However she is hard to learn and takes a while :s

Well, there are no more tourneys this month, and in two weeks I'm off to college, so I've got to get ready for that, so Im not gonna be around anymore. Maybe I'll be back Christmas break, but more than likely not. I'll definitely try to come back for the summer, but I really don't know what's gonna be going on in a year...
But I'm not gonna stop playing Brawl, just definitely not as much.

It's a very annoying MU.
I've only beaten him one time. And I can understand how that happened. The MU isn't in Ness' favor they can both get easily gimped. If Ness gets thrown off the stage oli can just throw pikmin on before he starts the pkt and he loses. Ness has to actually get oli off the stage and make sure he doesn't have a safe way back, which is not easy if you're facing a good oli.

1. Recover lower or recover higher
2. Use Nair offstage a lot
3. A lot of Ness' aerials get the pikmin off of him, like Nair , Uair, even Jab maybe (not aerial obviously)
4. Seriously, have good spacing and do NOT get grabbed. You'll go from 0 - 40 in like, 2 sec.

you were able to avoid an innuendo fairly well... the only thing I'd call you out on is the "fiddled around with her some, ..." but you added the "but" whatever and ruined it.



I tried ZSS and didn't like her. I wanted to try DK, but I can't handle the Ook-iness of that character. I might try DK again... but then there's DDD pwning him.

Who else? Kirby doesn't cover marth, nobody wants to use MK.... snake isn't hugely advantaged against DDD.... in fact, I would say he's disadvantaged. Falco... no. Diddy... maybe. I like diddy, but don't have time to use him. PIKA?!?!?!? .... yeah. I don't know who else.

Dedede is a pretty solid second for Ness imo. Covers Marth and Snake (I treat snake as an unwinnable matchup though). Sorta covers Dedede as well if you're into that penguin on penguin kinda thing.

@chrono: the falco was either really bad or you were playing on wifi... either way, I've seen much better from an opponent. I did like the dair spike at the end.

@everyone: I've been going on this website as a way to pass time, and currently I shouldn't be doing that; I've got books to read and write projects on. Expect inactivity from me.

Also, When I come back, you had best all have PKJump mastered. If not, I'll be disappointed. You guys are missing out on a great thing that EB360 put time and effort into.

I use marth as my secondary personally, he's a good cover for most of the higher tier characters. I do need someone else for the MK and D3 matchups though and I'm liking Falco more and more
