Well, excuse me... Forgive me for attempting to save you some heartache. I didn't know this was such a touchy subject for Ness fans.If we set ourselves up for disappointment, that's OUR problem. Not yours.
Possibly a reference to say that something has appeared in every version of a series including the 'new' one. Besides, Sakurai also used "Until now' for another things as well, but there in.You tell me what the "up until now" is referring to.
Even when Sakurai stated that Lucas is more psychical? He is no different than Lucas moveset wise.
I kinda agree.Characters shouldn't be judged and wanted in by their appearance. It is how their movesets are and how good one is with him.
No...Ness is probably better off as an alt or a trophy
True.but a character shouldn't be based by anything but how good you are with them in Smash.
Most likely you won't, because of their, um, differences. If you were good with Ness, than you'll be good with Lucas. Live with it.
And there really isn't much except for their appearances. That's what the alt idea is for.Even when Sakurai stated that Lucas is more psychical?
Like how?
No...
It is true. As an alt, at least you can still be him. Same looks same moveset. Done. Hell, maybe if this is what Sakurai wants to do than name the alt Ness so the announcer can say "This games winner is... Ness". I'd do that. =|
I say Ness as an alt AND a trophy.
Most likely you won't, because of their, um, differences.
That theory is actually not that badI wouldn't suspect him not returning just yet, remember how he was unlockable in ssb64? Well The thing that makes me still have hope in his return is the fact that Captain Falcon, Luigi, and Jigglypuff haven't been confirmed yet. So he and the rest of the unlockable 4 of ssb64 may all return as unlockable characters again.
yay! someone likes my idea! That theory is actually not that bad
More than 2 months since Lucas' confirmationJumping to conclusions, something many Anti-Ness haters do.
Lucas' moves deconfirm ness? ROFLMore than 2 months since Lucas' confirmation
Everything that was going on between that time?
...Lucas' moves where the only thing keeping Ness hanging from the string
It was hardly "jumping" waiting for a long time arguing between Ness and Lucas fans before Lucas was announced...
This is why they are similar, Sakurai clearly states why. Clearly.Sakurai said:Lucas is very similar. They are from the same family of PK users.
Lucas' moves might as well have...Lucas' moves deconfirm ness? ROFL
This is why they are similar, Sakurai clearly states why. Clearly.
You would know that even if it wasn't stated there, unless you have some sort of mental disability. This is why they are similar, Sakurai clearly states why. Clearly.

*Cough* .There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now, and Lucas is very similar. They are from the same family of PK users.
Vesper Im sure you must know that not everyone here has played (or imported ROFL) the Mother series (I know because you enjoy using it against people). You would know that even if it wasn't stated there, unless you have some sort of mental disability.
I agree with you i liked that little guy to much for Lucas to replace him! >Vesper Im sure you must know that not everyone here has played (or imported ROFL) the Mother series (I know because you enjoy using it against people).
So not everyone would know they came from the same Family of PK users. Sakurai however knew that not everyone played all of the games from the Mother series (smart man that Sakurai) So he purposely stated that Ness and Lucas can have similar moves due to them coming from the same family of PK.
While that line does not confirm Ness playable, it also does not deconfirm him (along with any other line for that matter).
So hopefully Ness is revealed soon (HOPEZ) so people can stop hating.
Up until now, Ness has not been deconfirmed
remember no matter what you think, until Sakurai confirms something it remains unknown.
I have been posting in these forums up until now, and I am really enjoying it.Try using up until now in a sentence that makes sense.
For example:
I used to post in these forums, up until now.
What do you get from that?
I've played video games up until now, and i'm not going to stop!I have been posting in these forums up until now, and I am really enjoying it.
You shifted your sentence into past tense by using the word "used" which makes up until now appear as past tense, or something you did.
This was not used however in the Sakurai update it was more neutral/current tense, then past tense imo.

That's a past tense, bottom line, you don't use up until now, unless you want to set and end to things or imply some kind of change. There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now
and supposedly there wasn't going to be much Japanese only stuff.. I guess Sakurai changed his mind, oh and lets not forget.. Ness is the original.isn't lucas the same as ness, and there is no clones supposedly.
Looks like Sakurai isn't the only one who can use "up until now", we can too! lolI've played video games up until now, and i'm not going to stop!
"Has" is past tense? That's a past tense, bottom line, you don't use up until now, unless you want to set and end to things or imply some kind of change.
I had a mixup, I just wanted to bold the appeared, still you know I'm right."Has" is past tense?
"Ness has a bat in his hand"
"Ness has just been CONFIRMED" (hope)
You werent serious were you vesp?
There's a lot more to it than mistranslations and movesets.DISCLAIMER: I personally believe that Ness has been removed. I am not trying to impose this opinion in the post below, nor do I want anyone to mistake my alignment in the Ness Wars.
This analogy is pretty much the only thing that gives Ness a chance at this point (microscopic, but a chance nonetheless)
Lucas's Moves's "up until now" is to Ness as the Cracker Launcher's "Control Stick" is to the Wii Remote alone.
Yes, I'm comparing a veteran to a control scheme. Let's face it: we ALL thought the Cracker Launcher's "Control Stick" disconfirmed (not deconfirmed) the Wii Remote alone as a possible control scheme because it lacks one. Apparently that was a big misunderstanding from us, as I'm fairly sure the D-Pad on the Sideways Wiimote aims the Cracker Launcher just like the Control Sticks do.
Could this Lucas-Ness situation also be a misunderstanding? Seeing from the other times "up until now" has been used, I doubt it.
So your saying Ness did not appear in any of the previous smash games?Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now
Ness appeared until now
End of story.
Ether way, it says he's out.So your saying Ness did not appear in any of the previous smash games?
because I don't know how you can indicate that Ness was in previous Smash games with the word "appear" without using "ed" at the end.
From my point of view, all that sentence says is "Ness was in the other games, and Lucas is like him because they are from the same family of pk users"
