That's my exact list if I just played through the game. But then competitive battling was fun until Blissey, Scizor, and Stealth Rock happened.

That is definitely the order it goes in. The only really good thing about Gen 4 was Gallade, he's awesome.

Fire Red/Leaf Green was the most amazing experience, just for the nostalgia.

I didn't mind in-game 4th gen... it's actually the only gen where I truly caught 'em all.

RSE is my favourite gen though.

Pure coincidence though. Nothing to do with how they were obtained.

Only album I actually bought online was the Superpony Beats

I like all the Pokemon games equally. Although people that are so hellbent on 2nd/1st gen being the best more often than not need to shut up.

Sorry then , Gold/Silver was my favorite out of all the gens, although I'm not sure the order of the gens.

Thanks Eryth. also yeah I knew about the other ones, just didn't bother adding them.

I've only owned Yellow, the newer version of gen 1-> Fire Red, Gold, Sapphire, and Diamond/Pearl (have emulated SD card for DS).

So I've never played the Black/White ones and never fully completed Diamond/Pearl (like 5 gym badges IIRC, can check later)
The game I played the most out of all of them was Gold. My absolute fav Pokemon game. :3

3 had the worst Pokemon ever. Metagross and Salamence were the only good Pokemon to come out of it. Not talking competitively. 5 would be at the bottom then. But yeah, 3 was garbage. Emerald made it a little better, but not enough to bring it up to par with the rest.

Although, I might just be biased because Crystal is my favorite, so when the next gen didn't meet that, I felt it was trash. But yeah, didn't like any of those Pokemon. Every time I played through it, I ended up using old Pokes.

And Gold > Silver

I enjoyed all the pokemon games (Handheld)
But if I had to make a list of games i've had from each gen it'd probably go...

Silver/SoulSilver Version (2nd Gen) > Black Version (5th Gen) > Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire (3rd Gen) > Blue/Yellow (1st Gen) > Diamond Version (4th Gen)

Reasons:

Silver/SoulSilver - Well... Lugia, I loved fighting Red so many times. Good music, Typhlosion always my first pokemon (Cyndaquil), Umbreon came to (Moon)light and had him in my team always. Actually liked the Bug contests and constantly checking each day for those kids that give you items/Stones, and for some reason I found playing 2nd gens elite Four more memorable out of the 5 gens.

Black - New game, Cool Pokemon, Again Great Music! Graphics were stunning, I actually liked the 5th Gens dragons compared to the last gen... Liked how we had to complete the game before battling the Champion. And for some reason, while the new Teams intentions/Leader (I know he was plotting but still) were kinda like... "Tree Huggers" N was almost a more better rival than Silver in my opinion.

Sapphire (mostly Played this, than the other two) - I enjoyed fighting the Teams the most, coupled with griding so hard I was already 15+ levels ahead of the 3rd Gym leader. Instead of the usual dragons, they included A Sea Basin (Kyogre) which I very much enjoyed, and Groudon. Also having to learn (I think Unknown?) Language to get certain pokemon were enjoyable too!

Blue/Yellow - Dratini, and It's the first gen! What more should I say?

Diamond - It felt... Bland. I still liked a few things like the emotion pokemon, But it feels like The only thing it seemed to have spawned that gave it a positive to the interent was Lucario Lopunny and Cynthia. Also I believe the first generation to have a Pokemon with no Weaknesses.

3rd Gen was a turnaround for me since I never beat Gen1 w/o cheating and I never finished Gen2 and a friend traded me hacked pokemon so i just quit. So I enjoyed Gen3 the most for being able to beat the game, grind to lvl100 through VS Seeker Grinding and never going into Elite4 grinding, followed by beating Platinum.

Well son of a *****, I brought Platinum, HeartGold, and White and have yet to touch it this whole road trip. Then again, it was all spent showing ponies to my cousins.

There are people out there who are well into 90+ years of age and still doing many things considered for the young-ins. Age is not really a huge obstacle depending how well you train yourself.

Like pokemon, do your EV training to be the best out there.
