@Spelt:I think of it as a fad Spelt. There is only so much time each day to do so many things. Eventually, you get bored of one hobby you worked on at one point in time, so you move onto something else.

Everyone here is sort of in a smash phase in life. From probably the high school years to a couple years after post-college years is the demographic of most smashers. After that, they all move onto something they find more interesting at the time. This is a decent example of a long term hobby.

MLP FiM show is more of a short term fad. Once the series ends, it will effectively die off, and people will move onto something else. There is the chance it might be like Pokemon and seemingly live forever... But I doubt that.

Anyway, the thing is you fill your time up with things that are interesting or fun. Everyone is entitled to spending how they will end up spending there time. This should even include ways in which to express one's self through a hobby. Whether you do it with images, time spent mockingly making fun of something, or spending hours on a project.

Rarity and Sweetie don't really look similar in the same way that Octavia and Pinkie's sister do. I can't see Pinkie's sister getting a cutie mark for music while living at the rock farm.

Despite me loving DerpyxPinkie, My favorite background pony would have to be either Colgate or Pinkie's (Sky? Goddamn Color Blindness!)Blue sister.

Which reminds me... I have 0Colgate pictures! Been too focused getting more Pinkie images... Ponychan AWAY! About the only thing that site is good for... Getting your folder fat and juicy with more images of whatever pony you request in less than an hour.
