@BSL - I actually was put off quite a bit after watching the first 2 episodes. I was scared that the show would just be some crappy shallow show where everyone is like "D'awww you're my friend. huggies". I decided to continue watching add was pleasantly surprised by the interaction of the characters with each other.
It was actually the animation that got me into the show at first. The art style of a show effects me a lot and if it's in a style I don't like, I tend to like that show less immediately.

@Kuraudo: I'll just say welcome back to the thread. Your blog post might not of been too accepting with some of the MLP community and their ways, but it was still a solid blog post. Hopefully you'll come by this thread a bit more often, since I recall seeing you here before once in a blue moon (most of the times being when I was a 'guest lurker' IIRC). Also if you want to talk about a particular episode or character just let me know and I can talk about it with you.

And really, my opinion's changed significantly (and it's funny how fast it has) in ways. I'm a much bigger fan then I let on, and a lot of it's come to light because of the way my lack of tolerance was brought to my attention too. I don't wanna be that kinda person, and I don't know WHEN I started thinking that way.

The Sonic boards would know better, but I've got a little hobby in making icons/avatars/sigs/call them whatever you want.
Everypony expect a big group batch of various icons somewhere down the line.

Kuraudo, your skill in GIMP (Or whatever else you're using) is much better than mine. Can't wait to see the Pinkie ones you'll be making.
For me, until I get enough motivation/Hype inside myself. I'll sooner or later start drawing Pony art, and probably jump back into the YTP scene... Of course cause of what's currently happening i'll need to make A new account.

Thanks guys! I use Paint Shop Pro 8. It's a rather old build, but it's served me well for a long time. Near 1,000+ Cloud Strife icons, and I can't remember how many Sonic icons I've made for the series... Well, and everything else inbetween, I've got plenty of experience.
But it's easy, really! Practice makes perfect, and the key here, I believe, is a good use of cropping your images. Also, here's a little cheat I discovered to make reducing the size of pictures easier without going through the resize option on your photo editing programs.
Scroll your image down by percentage or whatever your program uses, that makes it smaller but retains its quality. It's just the sample and all, but when you match it up with your 100x100 image or for a banner of sorts, hit Prt Scr SysRq instead!
Copy the whole monitor, and you've got your picture automatically resized. Select it, copy and paste it, and you've got a resized piece of art to crop into an icon. If you want some clarity if it blurred a tiny bit from reducing down, using the sharpen tool will make it clear again in most cases. More importantly though, just fiddle around with your tools! A cool thing I like doing frequently, is copying the image once over and pasting it overtop. Then, try doing a Soft Focus (or whatever variation you have with your programs) when you right click the top layer and alter the properties. Soft Focus, Overlay, and Hard Focus (for me, at least) make my image far more vivid. After that, just combine the two layers and you'e got more color.
Something to start out with, but from there, fiddle around with stuff. That's how I learned!
...yikes. I ranted, hahah. But hey, anyone who runs the GIMP or whatever else they use, now you've got a better head start. I've gotta hit the hay though. Work calls and then I'm attending an award ceremony in my late father's honor. Have a good one, guys.
