My apology for the offense I've caused

Some time ago, I have posted a thread called "God **** It" in the User Blogs section of Smashboards. Apparantly, some people got offended by some of the things I said there.
I would like to apologize for the offense I have caused.

I also would like to apologize to cookieMONster. CookieMONster, I apologize about how I offended you by saying "Hell doesn't exist". I never meant any harm, I was just stating my belief. But I'm very sorry.

I ask you all to please accept my apologies. I never had intended to offend the Christians viewing the thread. I'll try not to offend Christians again on Smashboards.

Why would you apologize?

Who cares if their beliefs differ from yours and they are "offended?"

Learning to not let stuff get to you is an important skill.

God doesn't exist. Hell is about as real Jordan's ****. Heaven is the same illusion as the Matrix from the movie of the same name. Buddha is more fake than a magic trick. The Quran and Bible have as much nonfiction in them as the Harry Potter series.

Anybody with an opinion should be shot on sight. Likewise for anybody who doesn't have an opinion, the ****ing pricks.

Being gay is a disease, should be prohibited, shouldn't be prohibited, is perfectly natural. It's the same thing if you are albino, religious, nonreligious, an artist or have any beliefs, natural habits, sexual preferences or lifestyles currently unaccepted by a minority of the population.

I'll ask you one question: are you offended by this post?

If no, okay.
If yes, nobody cares.

I don't see why you should apologize. They will be offended by some later in their lives. Might as well offend them sooner.

Also, 3mmanuel, you shouldn't have apologized.

A) CookieMONster was just about as offensive in his annoyance at you stating your opinion in a slightly abrasive way as you were in stating your opinion.

B) The only thing you did wrong was stating your belief as "There is no hell" rather than "I don't believe there is a hell". And just about anyone can tell it's your belief that you're stating. If one really has a right to be offended when someone states their beliefs without saying something about that being what they believe, then everyone who ever makes any statement about praying to God or something is being offensive.

C) It's been like, two weeks since it was open. You just started it all up again now.

And really, it's totally sad that out of anything and everything that was said, the most offensive thing said was "There is no hell". I can understand people being offended by you wanting to tell kids there is no God or something (as I personally think it's wrong to tell little kids that), but not by stating your beliefs. It's stupid.

Offended? Perhaps.

To stay on topic; everyone will be offended by others no matter what. There are tons of people here on Earth and its logical that believes and ideas will clash.
