Samus might be pretty smart, but she sure does make many mistakes (utter genocide of each planet she lands on, always managing to loose her items and powerups from previous games (yes I said it, and before you Samus fanboys start saying that was only prime 1+2, let me remind you that in EVERY SINGLE GAME, you have to get the same powerups, so in between games, she lost her powerups AGAIN), letting Ridley get away) but overall, very smart.

Mario has a doctor's degree, and has had BILLIONS of occupations, many requiring education and experience, he wasn't always a plumber/zookeeper/construction worker.

Pokemon=Dumb animals, even the smart ones aren't nearly as smart as humans, except Mewtwo, who was crazy psychic
