Shine spike is weaker, so the arguement of it gimping too easily is out of the question.

The shine makes Fox even faster and more appealing to play as (at least for me). It brings endless possibilities in terms of combos. It increases learning curve but for the better. It overall makes Fox a much deeper character. And makes Fox really flashy :p

I can't see Fox without it. I think me and Shanus can agree that we'd like to see it stay.
<3 JC Shine
yeah id love to see it in too. btw is i only JC shine on ground, or does it work in the air as well? and im very glad for will b deeper from now on, will be much more fun to play :D and flashy is GOOD!

oh and no need to thank me for suggesting it recently ;) :p

You commented on my video, so it should of been pretty obvious you could jump with it in the air :p

& yeah, thanks for the suggestion.

So far a large crowd of quality testers have played with it, and every piece of feedback I have received has been of how awesome it feels to play the new fox. I think everyone will enjoy it greatly.

Dang, JC shine to u-smash is tough. I haven't landed one yet.

Slow fingers FTL, haha.

I think I'll stick to hyphen smash'd u-smashes and such now.

It doesn't work on some characters GM. An obvious one to do it to easily is DK, an example of a hard but possible is MK.

Ah, that must be it. I was practicing in Training on a Pika for a while, so I thought maybe it was just the buffer, but then I tried it in matches and had the same result. xD

My tech skill is under 9000. =P

Timing needs to be ridiculously fast on some characters, especially when NOT doing it out of a dash. :psycho: The dashing shine JC u-smash is sooo much easier, since the slight forward momentum greatly helps.
At first, I was afraid that a JC-able shine would make Fox too good, but after a good amount of testing, it actually just adds depth to Fox (which he greatly needed), without actually buffing him. It might even be a slight nerf... But that's fine, as long as he has depth and requires practice and skill...
Awesome job, WBR!!

is it just me, or has the learning curve for fox gone WAYYYY up now? no more dair to uptilts, and dair is actually punishable now (tbh i have only been playing lvl 9's and they are perfect at sheild grabs, but whatever)

Well, after HOURS playing with his Shine,i just forgot his Dair and i keep using his Shine. o/
This really add multiples possibilities to him, even if it is a bit too hard on some chacacters to hit a JCS Usmash.I can live with that :p

Now he lost his Dair whole thing, what about some little buffs for his trade off?Like:

Less endlag on his Bair
OR
Less endlag on his Uthrow
OR
8% Utilt

If you guys think this is uncessary, fine.
So...+1support to his JC Shine

glad to hear it, i spent a lot of time fine tuning fox

as long as you time your dair properly, you can always dair shine, dair grab, and if the opponent is on your backside, dair utilt

With no Di, you can JCshine>dair>jcshine>dair all the way across the stage. Of course, it requires large amounts of tech skill. :)

The time to register a shine jump dair doesn't register as a combo in training mode. You can land it on people as a mix up, but with excellent timing they can PS it.

I tried to do it in training mode with 1/4 speed... I remember it comboing I think... Hmm, maybe not. They should put a standard 10 frame buffer into training mode.

I'm 99% sure shine dair does not register on any character. The only ones which successfully seem to register are shine bair (on some chars), and shine fair due to the hitbox range on them. I tested it pretty extensively, so unless a knockback value has been adjusted or I forgot to one one character.

There's probably like a 2 frame window to escape, so it doesn't count as a combo.

This was the first thing I tried to do when Fox got JCS, and I had trouble getting my fingers working right with zero buffer (X *pause* dair perfectly timed shine X dair :psycho:), but it seemed like a possibility on large characters. You just need LOTS of practice (lol refreshing) and LOTS of buffer.

I'm willing to bet it could be escaped with SDI after 1 or 2 times, but it could be finished with an Usmash before that happened. :chuckle:

Fox is pretty much the same tier-wise, but he's FAR more interesting!

Turn tap jump on and jump cancel the shine... so Down B > jump lol. Unless your .PAC for Fox didn't download properly (which you may want to check) I don't see why it wouldn't be working otherwise.

i downloaded the 4.1 version, and then replaced the .gct it works cuz dair usmash isn't a combo anymore. tbh this change barely affects me cuz i for some reason never did dair usmash according to all my vids xD

guess i haveta practice it. i'll let you guys know what i think of it once i get used to it more.

here's to fox :D

no it works. dair usmash isn't a true combo, shine stalling doesn't work anymore, utilt only hits from behind.

it took me awhile to find training mode lmfao. i never actually owned the game

Edit: nvm i'm prolly wrong. so how do i install the newest one? it wont let me do it automatically >.>

Edit2: yeah i'm dl'ing the right one now...
