I really want them to do unique intros for certain matchups, kind of like MvC3. There's so much potential for awesome crossover exchanges.

I really do expect to see her in about 9 hours.

They always include one female newcomer in each E3 trailer to appease the female fans. Palutena is the really really burningly obvious choice for this.
Unless maybe Dixie steals her thunder but she would be less impressive and crowd pleasing in a trailer with this level of anticipation. Seems like more of a Dojo reveal or unlockable if anything.

I'd love to see her tomorrow, but I have no idea if Uprising was popular enough that she would be considered a worthy choice to generate hype in a reveal trailer. Still, her chances of getting in one way or the other are quite good.

I agree. Samus in the original, Zelda and Peach in Melee, ZSS in Brawl. Palutena in Smash 4 seems like a good plan.

Palutena does still have a chance, but now likely as a secret character if you ask me. I just hope she appears playable later though. I have faith in Sakurai as he did revive the Kid Icarus series, made Pit more epic and as one of the first veterans shown, so I have faith that she'll be in, just revealed later on.

I believe you mean Pit's Mirror Shield not there. It's likely a reference to when Hades destroyed the 3 Sacred Treasures in KI: Uprising, that of which it would be the reason why Pit needed a move to replace said Mirror Shield. Here enters the Guardian Orbitars of course.
The Mirror Shield and Palutena's shield on her left arm are 2 different shields though. However, since Pit is using the Upperdash Arm and Guardian Orbitars atm outta nowhere, I would hope that should she make it, I would expect one of her moves involves a swing of her shield as a deflector, and having at least 2 projectiles based on her boss fight from Uprising as well.
I'm certain she still has potential, but won't be shown for a while, and I hope I'm right.

I guess when you look at it that way, Pit may not be using his 3ST as separate weapons, and will pull out the box with the 3ST in it, and kick it to do that transforming thing. I just hope there isn't much transformation FSes though.

We aren't certain bout that though. If we did consider Uprising's 3ST, it was a transformation that had improved attacks (under normal non-weapon mod circumstances) and that Mirror Shield on the shoulder that blocked projectiles. Of course Pit still took damage, and I worry that it may be another Brawl Giga Bowser replica, but Pit style.

Sorry if I bring it up a bit, but I'm aware that this is the Palutena thread. Gotta make sure we don't completely stray away from the Goddess of Light after all. D:

It looks like the focus of the E3 reveals were new series. Maybe even ones no one expected.

I would wait till later down the road for pretty Palutena when they start talking about returning series.

Could it mean he has something planned for the KI series in smash4, a possible hint at a playable Palutena or Pit to be even more improved and influenced by KI:U? Whacking people with that large staff of hers, swinging that shield to hit opponents and deflect their projectiles, has an array of projectiles, and also likely to have strong kicking moves thanks to her thick and powerful thighs. I can see that now. <3
