Yes, but, for some reason, people still think he has a chance. At this point, I more than doubt that he does, but we'll see.

I think it was a massive troll move by Sakurai. If he wanted to deconfirm Ridley right there and then, he could have shown his whole body instead of just a shadow. I think he has something up his sleeve. (Of course, I don't care if Ridley is playable or not *gets shot*)
