Its for notification. But it sounds scary, so speaking with awayteam, they are making a update, so it doesnt need that one (apparently its for 4.0.0 and its not need it for 4.0.4... so the app will be for phones 4.0.4+ after the mini update)

Guys, I hope you realize that it's the AMERICAN release of Tomodachi. Sakurai only reveals things corresponding to the JAPANESE release dates of games. The only exception was Diddy Kong, because Little Mac was revealed on the Japanese release date of Tropical Freeze.
