The point is he worked on Bowser before that e3 and didn't get enough done with Yoshi he wanted to till the Direct.

There could be more than what we're seeing. Other notable changes we'll find out later. We don't know anything about his Up B besides the aesthetic additions. Maybe it'll have a better trajectory like in Melee(as in you can throw it anywhere you want), maybe it gives more height. The fact Yoshi has another posture means he has to remap every hitbox and hurtbox towards his new model. It's not nearly as easy as it sounds and takes a lot of time. It's a decent assumption he worked on Yoshi's new design after Bowser's was done(if not blatantly true?).

The entire month of May without a character reveal seems odd. We still have 12 (15) veterans that need to be revealed; I mean, we are missing some obvious ones. Surely he will reveal at least one veteran between now and E3.

I'd argue that there's only five left that "need" to be confirmed before launch (Wario, Metaknight, Lucas, Ike, and Ice Climbers) or its likely that they're cut while everyone else can be unlockable. Speaking of characters, I miss characters being revealed in the PoDs. It was fun when people showed up randomly.

That is overt; but that wasn't necessarily my point. My point being, you have to take what Sakurai says with a grain of salt.

The Changes to Yoshi was that he stands upright. And also the many Changes to his moveset, as well as some Visual Changes, like his Eggs. It was plenty of Changes, in a way. Not that it matters much, but still. ^^ Bowser is certanly changed much more. He's simply badass now.

I actually think there'll be at least one character this month... the question is when though. 29 feels like such an awkward number.

Only things I could see is MAYBE Meta Knight tonight with Triple Deluxe in the US, and Wario for Mario Kart, though I do feel that Mario Kart is a bit too close to E3's launch...

However, do note that Dedede used to link to the official Kirby site and then they took it down. I assume he'll get re-linked to Triple Deluxe's site, but maybe someone else as well?

Like I said, I highly doubt it, considering that we've only ever once gotten a character for a US release and Meta Knight's not even IN Triple D, but we'll see in less than 12 hours I guess.

I honestly doubt we'll see Wario until E3. There is a chance he's getting an overhaul to make him more resemble how he does in the Wario Land games (which is kinda likely, since they seem to be listening to fans a lot more this time round), so they'd want to wait until E3 to show him off if that were the case.

That's sort of how I feel about Meta Knight. I understand Sakurai doesn't follow competitive Smash, but I'm pretty sure he's aware of how dominating Meta Knight was. E3 would be the perfect place to show off his 'changes'*nerfs*.

A bit late giving my opinion on this pic but whatever. I really don't care about anything from Kid Icarus @.@. I actually find it somewhat sad really that series like Mother, F ZERO and Starfox get little to no attention (altogether not just in potd/smash) yet all because of a recent reboot Kid Icarus gets so much attention. I actually enjoy the playstyle of Uprising but I can't play it because the voices irritate the heck out of me (mostly Pit).

Anyways, as for predictions, I see a lot of Meta Knight, Captain Falcon, Ice Climbers and Mother boys predictions going around for possible characters in the near future. Mine should be obvious =P. As for tomorrow, I predict a Kirby related picture, not a character reveal persay but maybe something like Marx being an Assist Trophy or a boss or something or maybe Kracko/Kracko Jr? Or even Whispy Woods (who's usually a stage 'hazard' so maybe a Kirby stage?)

I feel like we'll get a character in May, but it'll be a random reveal closer to the middle of the month. That way, it helps sustain the hype for the last push to E3. I'd predict Ice Climbers for this random reveal as they're almost certain to be in the starting roster and don't have any games to tie into anyways. As for Wario for Mario Kart, I feel like they'd just roll him into the E3 reveal to have more characters to "reveal" in the trailer.

You say that sarcastically, yet it is not illogical to do exactly that. I fail to see any deductive or inductive reasoning that would suggest that meta knight being reveal tonight would be illogical.

Besides, Sakurai has revealed characters before for the release of games in North America, whether he reveals one tonight is more or less based on his whim, nothing to do with actual logic.

Diddy Kong may have been revealed on Tropical Freeze's American release (and is so far the only character revealed for an American release), but....there wasn't a celebration of the Japanese release prior to it; it was overtaken by the Nintendo Direct with Little Mac's trailer.
Triple Deluxe was already celebrated on the Japanese release with Dedede's reveal.

And unlike Meta Knight, Diddy and Dedede actually appear in the games they were revealed for. Meta Knight isn't present in Triple Deluxe.

I read your whole text correctly the first time. There's no guarantee that Meta Knight will be revealed, I know that, but your reasoning for saying it is illogical to expect him is just wrong since it is based on trends that have been observed from past veteran reveals, trends which I might like to point out are based on limited data and not exactly close to being consistent, so relying on them to make the claim that expecting Meta Knight tonight is illogical is not the best idea. Going by the trends we've been seeing it would have been logical for Yoshi to have been revealed with his game and a pokemon to be revealed with the release of X and Y, but they weren't and that might seem illogical according to the rules we have but these "rules" we're placing on the reveals of characters are not really rules, they're just trends we have observed and therefore used those trends to predict future reveals. Other rule breakers were Luigi, Peach, Marth, and Lucario. The ones who do conform to your rules for veteran reveals are Olimar, King Dedede, Toon Link and Zelda. Really, you have more deviations and exceptions to the rules on veteran reveals than you do characters that conform to the rules you think are in place. The only rules for character reveals we can safely say exist is that newcommers only get revealed in Nintendo Directs, since that rule has a really good track record.

If we're going to be talking logically, then the probability of having Meta Knight revealed tonight is a lot higher than it is most nights and therefore is not illogical to expect him revealed tonight.

1. With the Halberd stage returning, Meta Knight is definitely a returning veteran
2.Meta Knight is the only remaining unrevealed veteran associated with the Kirby franchise.
3. The chances of him being revealed during a PotD are highest on days that are relevant to the Kirby franchise
4. Today is a relevant date for the Kirby franchise, possibly the most relevant between now and when the game gets released.
