You know, this makes me want Chimeras as enemies in Smash run. It would make for some good Mother representation.

Magicant isn't in Mother 3. Even then it isn't the same Magicant that's in Mother 1 as in Mother 2, since it's technically not a real location but rather a manifestation of a person's mind. In Mother 1 it's inside the mind of one of Ninten's ancestors, while in Mother 2 it's inside Ness' mind.BTW, Magicant is the best choice for a Mother Stage, it was in all 3 games and was an awesome and memorable location in each.
Only ever played (and beat) Mother (Earthbound Zero version) and Earthbound, but I was pretty sure I heard people mention it was in Mother 3 but I suppose I was wrong (I never really looked much into it as I plan on EVENTUALLY playing the game.) Sorry for my misguided assumptions.... I'm actually a bit upset that it's NOT in the game.Magicant isn't in Mother 3. There are no reoccuring locations in Mother, there are two different Magicants and Saturn Valleys, but that's the extend of that. It's mostly because all three games are set in different countries: Mother 1 is simply set in America, Mother 2 is set in Eagleland (the adventure goes way outside its boundaries though), and Mother 3 is set on the Nowhere Islands.
Personally I want either the Mother 1 Magicant or Mother 2 Saturn Valley as stages, both have great potential and are arguably the two most iconic places in the entire trilogy.
Exactly why it could be such a fun stage. It could even cross-reference between games, not only having things like the Dragon from Mother 1, but also guys like Master Belch.Only ever played (and beat) Mother (Earthbound Zero version) and Earthbound, but I was pretty sure I heard people mention it was in Mother 3 but I suppose I was wrong (I never really looked much into it as I plan on EVENTUALLY playing the game.) Regardless, Magicant was a fun place in the first two games. Also, it's not a "real place" so as long as you stuck with the basic design scheme you could basically reference anything else you wanted from the game.
Apparantly, Mario Golf was already released, today. :/new info? this means that maybe we'll get a character tomorrow because of mario golf.
oh lol well still can get a reveal it's been 3 weeks + it seems that we are getting new info.Apparantly, Mario Golf was already released, today. :/
Of course. But don't expect a character reveal FOR Mario Golf, a day AFTER it's released. I doubt that'd happen.oh lol well still can get a reveal it's been 3 weeks + it seems that we are getting new info.
I'll have to disagree on the last part. They could make some characters that were previously starters are unlockables. I could see Ike being an unlockable this game if he returns; same with Meta-Knight and Lucas. This, of course, assumes unlockables return. After today's spooky, scary skeleton update, I feel this week has indicated a few things:
The good news- We're back to new content and it'll probably be like it was all of March with new stuff virtually every day.
The bad news- This probably means that we won't get any characters until E3.
The good news- But this probably means that we're going to be getting another info dump at E3 like we did for the Direct.
The bad news- If this is true, the full starting roster will finally be shown meaning it will be a make or break moment for the starters from past games not shown yet.
Let's just see how tomorrow plays out...
Not necessarily- Ness and Falcon went from being unlockable to default to unlockable again. Someone like Ike or Lucas could become unlockable this time. After today's spooky, scary skeleton update, I feel this week has indicated a few things:

Still odd, cuz' you'd Think he would have revealed a character for Golf today instead of waiting for tomorrow. XDI'd like to remind people that Luigi's reveal was based upon a game that wasn't even released yet. Albeit, he did happen to also be revealed on a VC Mario game release. But he was still connected to Dream Team.
Basically, it can still reference a game not released yet, or well after release.
Not really?Still odd, cuz' you'd Think he would have revealed a character for Golf today instead of waiting for tomorrow. XD
The comment says that he would not have revealed Luigi if not for the Year of Luigi. He was revealed in the direct for the Year of Luigi.I'd like to remind people that Luigi's reveal was based upon a game that wasn't even released yet. I can't Think of any reason he'd wait one extra day to show a character for a game that released that day. But whatever, I doubt we'll get a character anyways. Not really?
At this point, I've figured he doesn't really care when they're released. And finds a date that works well. Honestly, we might get no characters tomorrow. We just got 5, which is pretty good.
It's also directly connected to Dream Team. Regardless, that means he could've anyway by his own words. It's just more incentive. The comment says that he would not have revealed Luigi if not for the Year of Luigi. He was revealed in the direct for the Year of Luigi.
Because he doesn't really care about release dates for every character? Considering when he revealed Yoshi, and Luigi...I can't Think of any reason he'd wait one extra day to show a character for a game that released that day. But whatever, I doubt we'll get a character anyways.
But I do expect something neat for tomorrow. Pong!
It's much more likely Luigi was revealed for the announcement of the Year of Luigi though, as the comment clearly meant what it said. It's also directly connected to Dream Team. Regardless, that means he could've anyway by his own words. It's just more incentive.
The entire month of May without a character reveal seems odd. We still have 12 (15) veterans that need to be revealed; I mean, we are missing some obvious ones. Surely he will reveal at least one veteran between now and E3.After today's spooky, scary skeleton update, I feel this week has indicated a few things:

Whether likely or not, he could've revealed him for any reason. That's all I'm saying. It's much more likely Luigi was revealed for the announcement of the Year of Luigi though, as the comment clearly meant what it said.
Normally I wouldn't reveal Luigi before the game came out he said something along the lines of that] but "It's the Year of Luigi, so why not?"
Yoshi would not have been released on a North American release. Diddy Kong was only because the Japenese release was on the Nintendo Direct. On the SMASH direct they release some of the biggest stuff. Yoshi had a drastic change. Sakurai even said during the video that Yoshi wasn't revealed till then because of that.
What was Yoshi's drastic change? Rainbow eggs? That is a clear indication that Sakurai's word should be taken with a grain of salt. It's much more likely Luigi was revealed for the announcement of the Year of Luigi though, as the comment clearly meant what it said.

When I was a kid and played the original Kid Icarus, I was absolutely terrified of the reapers. The music that played when they saw you and that crazy dance they did creeped me out so bad I couldn't play the game any longer. I look at them now and go "what was I afraid of," but back then, I just couldn't handle them. They scared me way too bad. xDThe Reaper and Ornes themes have this weird disturbing sense to them and always make me feel uneasy.
M'kay. I don't think we'll get one tomorrow necessarily.Whether likely or not, he could've revealed him for any reason. That's all I'm saying.
And my overall point; Having a game release doesn't guarantee a reveal. Plain and simple.
His upright stance. What was Yoshi's drastic change? Rainbow eggs? That is a clear indication that Sakurai's word should be taken with a grain of salt.
It was his posture change. Still not drastic, but a bit more than just rainbows. What was Yoshi's drastic change? Rainbow eggs? That is a clear indication that Sakurai's word should be taken with a grain of salt.
Precisely the point; the alteration wasn't dramatic. That is self-referential incoherence from Sakurai. Did everyone forget about Bowser for some reason? It was his posture change. Still not drastic, but a bit more than just rainbows.
Bowser=revealed at E3.Precisely the point; the alteration wasn't dramatic. That is self-referential incoherence from Sakurai. Did everyone forget about Bowser for some reason?
