I was actually referring more to the part where you said Tanooki sounds better then Raccoon.

You are Swedish? That's pretty cool I have to say. You type English really well for what it is, you have better grammar than most Americans. But I suspect a huge line of info leading up to e3 with the huge smash bros announcements, maybe even we could get a pic of the day that states who is going, and how competitive it's going to be. I'm so glad nintendo is catering to the competitive community, especially because I want to be competitive for smash 4

Time for a little childhood story.

I used to role play crossover stories with my lil bros based on games we loved, mostly such things as Zelda and Pokemon. I usually took the role of Toon Link/Hero of Winds. In my depictions of things, he had a thing for using Mario-power ups, especially Super Leaf.

I wouldn't have ever thought I'd come to a day where my childhood fan fiction becomes an official thing.

And, I doubt Sakurai would mention specifically who is going (I Think it would rather come from Nintendo themselves), but it would be neat. Especially for the lycky ones going. I do expect Sakurai to mention the Tournament soon, though. Surprised he didn't do it today. But oh well.

Though I don't think you can play the smash 4 demo, I can't wait to be one of the first real people to play smash 4! I think Nintendo jump started the hype train before any other gaming company . This year's e3 will be so much better than last year's for nintendo!

Seems a bit odd this late in development to not be sure on something like this. That's a unique animation for every single character in the game mind you, that's not just something they can fix up in a day or two.



Out of all the items I'd expect this one to be on the 3DS, considering it's from Super Mario 3D Land.

I'm pretty sure they could just spin the character model around with a single pose and it'd work as well.

I probably wouldn't take too much stock in the 'we still determining if we can make the tail attack' it's probably just something they considered doing that is pretty low priority that they can drop at a moments notice if they can't fit it into their schedule. I seriously doubt any delay in the release or release schedule is going to be based on something like that.

I hope they give it an extra attack as otherwise it seems like it'd be pretty useless for Peach who can already float. Either way, it's not a particularly chaotic item, so when I play with items on, it will likely be turned off.

I wonder what happens with characters with a tail already when they grab the tanooki leaf

Does they're tail change to a raccoon one

Or does a raccoon tail gets added to there tail (having 2 tails temporary)


If its the second one that might be how ridley was in the sky for so long (ofcoarse i think its idle annimation when grabbed/moving fast enough)

Simple. Just remove his tail, and have the Tanooki tail in it's Place. His tail would have the exact same animations as it had when it wasn't tanooki. Same for Charizard and Pika. ^^

I mean, that's pretty much the only way they can do it. Unless they completely skip the Tail for tailed characters.

Also, I wanna see Fox with Tanooki ears and Bunny Hood~

Haha, probably just replace the original tail with the raccoon tail. But now I have an image in my head of Mega Mewtwo Y with a raccoon tail on the back of its head and I feel uncomfortable.
