I think I'll die a little on the inside if Toon Link and Lucas still have their little baby tethers.I'm happy for Link. His upb was always so sad since he tries so hard.
I don't see how Lucas's could be longer, unfortunately.I think I'll die a little on the inside if Toon Link and Lucas still have their little baby tethers.
I wonder what kind of Pills Lucas used on his snake to make it grow longer. I've heard they dont work.Hype train on stand-by.
Decent update. Needed recovery buffs for both characters and the tethers receiving buffs themselves is a nice treat. Should also help Lucas if he's back.
He doesn't mention if multiple fighters can latch on at the same time. Still, never doubted tether recoveries was gone, but I'm also glad it looks even better!
I'm pretty sure that's the case. All I'm saying is it still isn't mentioned, and his pictures are often deceiving. I'm sure both can latch on at the same time, but whoever creeps up to the edge will obtain the grab....He literally says multiple fighters can latch on. And by his context clues, I don't think he's referring to new players who don't know what tethering is.
Plus the picture shows TWO fighters latching on at the same time.
I can see Samus sliding up to the ledge as well as Link, except Link jumps and immediately attacks Samus breaking her tether (assuming she is vulnerable at this point) and doing another quick tether-grab ftw. Scenarios like that. This is interesting, and it's going to give these characters a huge leg up in the new ledgehog game. Since grabbing the ledge second and forcing off the previous occupant seems to be the winning formula in this game, being able to delay the grab and tether at any point could be very strong, and with seemingly all the special move tethers being gone, that is going to make it quite the exclusive club (only four characters had "zair" tethers in Brawl, and so far none of the new fighters appear to have them). Combine this with his new meteor and with his natural strengths from the projectile game, and are we going to have a Link who is very strong off-stage instead of very weak like in every other smash game?

He literally says it right there, in the caption, that multiple people can tether onto a ledge at the same time. Watchu talkin' 'bout boy?Masahiro Sakurai said:Pic of the day. Tether recovery? Yes, you can! And from even longer range than before. Multiple fighters can latch on--who actually grabs hold is determined by the same rules as the standard ledge grab.
Nowhere does it say "at the same time", girl. Anyways, I'm positive it is at the same time. Moving on?He literally says it right there, in the caption, that multiple people can tether onto a ledge at the same time. Watchu talkin' 'bout boy?
I don't see how Lucas could even be in the game, personally. ¦DI don't see how Lucas's could be longer, unfortunately.
1 - Picture Brawl LucasI don't see how Lucas could even be in the game, personally. ¦D
No point in saying "multiple" if only one can grab the ledge at a time. Just saying.Nowhere does it say "at the same time", girl. Anyways, I'm positive it is at the same time. Moving on?
Brawl seemed to treat Mother 3 as the representative game in the series, so I sincerely doubt it.I don't see how Lucas could even be in the game, personally. ¦D
Multiple can refer to "more than one fighter will have tethering".No point in saying "multiple" if only one can grab the ledge at a time. Just saying.
ANYWAY.
This leaves me wondering, what happens to the second tether character when the first one pulls themselves to the edge?
I was going to tell him to open his squinty emote eyes.1 - Picture Brawl Lucas
2 - Mentally translate his model to an HD setting
3 - ???
4 - Finish the rest of your Cheetos (optional)
5 - Success!
I want TL to have his grappling hook.I think I'll die a little on the inside if Toon Link and Lucas still have their little baby tethers.
I'm imagining (and hoping) that the tether loser will be in free fall but not in a helpless state. No point in saying "multiple" if only one can grab the ledge at a time. Just saying.

Yes, that may be true. However, the quote immediately refers to the multiple as if they were competing for the edge. Which implies it's happening at the same time.Multiple can refer to "more than one fighter will have tethering".
You lost me at "1". Numbers? Ain't nobody got time for that! ¦(1 - Picture Brawl Lucas

I can't recall if I'd seen a 3DS pic with Toon Link using a hookshot or not, it may have been his boomerang. I can't remember. However, the grappling hook would be money. This needs to happen. Along with stealing another player's item.I was going to tell him to open his squinty emote eyes.

No, it hasn't been shown. For a split second, I thought it had been replaced by the Gust Bellows when I saw that pic of the day, before I remembered that the Gust Bellows are from Skyward Sword. I hope he's less of a clone this time, too.Hey am I wrong or we haven't seen the boomerang in Toon Link's moveset? The Deku Leaf could be interesting as a substitute, creating little tornadoes like the Ore Club maybe. At least he would be a little Luigi-fied.
