I've been using the Strider/Doom/Sentinel team lately. I've been winning a lot more matches now.

I've also been trying Strider/Psylocke/Tronne. It's a little harder, but it's a lot of fun. Not too effective though.

If you go to the ESRB site and type in Marvel VS Capcom 2, you'll get a list of what consoles it'll be on. PS3 and 360 are on that list.

So it's been rated, but that doesn't guarantee its release.

Here's hoping it does get a release.

aw, man. I really hope they release it.

I actually started using Strider/Sentinal/Psylocke myself, I won't say it's the best team out there but it sure has earned me alot of victories as of late.

I might try a Strider/Tronne/Sentinel later. Sentinel will help Strider chip damage and hopefully Tron will relaunch them with her assist. It's worth a shot.

My team consists of characters that I personally find awesome, which is why I play with sonson/charlie/iceman. Not a very effective team but I don't care.

Mega Man's one of the least effective spammers. LOL

I guess they just don't know how to get past him.

Yeah, his mega buster is extremely slow not to mention doesnt even deal chip damage if blocked, his mach tornado leaves him completely out in the open if he fails or misses with it, and it takes way too long to call down other projectiles (and by that point they're so close and in your face, spammings impossible) :ohwell:

I like it but the game is so **** broken.

pick:
sentinal
magneto
storm/cable, and practice at home, and you'll be good.

alternatively, use:
cable/magneto/storm
psylocke
iron man, for infinite goodness.

My team is:
hayato
cable
megaman/ryu/akuma/iron man

actually practicing at home wont really help, unless you go the arcade and play local comp, trust me i learned the hard way playing with some friends..but when you go the arcades you learn so many things. experience is needed and also you gonna lose a lot!! its worth it in the long run.

oh yeah

Top Assists:
Captain Commando AAA
Psylocke AAA
Cyclops AAA
Sentinel A and G
Tronne Bonne G

Top Tier:
Magneto
Storm
Sentinel
Cable

2nd Tier:
Cyclops
Dr. Doom
Blackheart
Spiral
Iron Man
Strider (w/ Doom Only)

as for teams

MSP = Magneto / Storm / Psylocke
MSS = Magneto / Storm / Sentinel
Santhrax = Storm / Sentinel / CapCom

oh yeah and team scrub..but these teams are usually the top teams ppl use.

I'm not that good at MvC2 when I'm using a stick.

I'm buying an arcade stick that'll work with Windows so I can practice with it.

I really wished that there was a MvC2 scene here, or any other fighting game for that matter.

I use to be pretty decent with MvC2. I knew how to do the Triple (Or infinite if you wanna call it) Hyper Viper Beam, Semi-Infinite Hyper Sentinel Force and whatnot...good times...

I had a Team Keep-Away consisted of -> Cable, Sentinel, Dr. Doom

I hope Tatsunoko vs. Capcom comes out in the USA, I'm sure there would be a big community for it too.

TvC is getting a lot of love as it is right now, even as a mod-chipped game. SRK as a whole is even making a point to add it to the line-up of some of their biggest tourneys (i.e Final Round).

I hope that whatever is keeping it from international soils is resolved quickly.

On topic:

Is there even a name for Juggs/Cable/Blackheart?

(Aside from Team Suck, of course.)

I already posted in that thread as Dash'. I know a few of the members on that thread, but our scene hasn't really picked up. I'll be at California later this year, so there's going to be way better competition. (I'm originally from SoCal)

By a certain method I don't really want to delve into, if you know what I mean. I'm mainly doing that so I can practice using a stick more for a bunch of old games.

I haven't gotten TvC yet, but I've played it before. (And lost badly to J Wong)
I didn't even know the game had only 4 buttons when I first played it. lol

It feels more like the first MvC game. I wish they brought back multiple assists.

not yet, theres a pc version which you have to have nulldc for it, the net play aint there yet. possible gameplay in the future though, prolly going to use GGPO since it doesnt have any input lag.

This game is definitely the best 2D fighter ever! Limitless team possibilities, awesome specials, and Red Riding Hood with a shotgun all give me wonderful memories. One thing I never understood: why are there two Wolverines on the character select sceen? There's no difference between them.

There are little differences. If you're curious, just take a look at this thread.

So how you guys feel about MvC3? It was semi-confirmed at Comic-Con last year. I believe it's going to use TvC's engine also...
