Well I play my cousin were both pretty good but he spams me with fireballs and sets up combos every second of the game and runs away and then downsmashes and If I try to be defensive he just stands there making it incredibly boring got any ideas?

Against Mario, you have range, Marth's range over Mario's which gives Marth a major advantage in this match-up, and the ability of how easy it is to edgeguard Mario. Mario's Fireballs aren't the...best for a projectile, you can easily Jab them, f-air, or perfect shield them, and go for a punish. And approach with aerials, lots of them, they give Mario a hard time to counter, since Marth has an easier time keeping Mario out of his range, then Mario trying to keep close. Umm...really, if you learn how to space with Marth you basically got this match-up.

^Why does everyone have that quote in their sig now? lol.

Just use a good amount of spacing on him. Abuse the fact that you have range. DB, D-tilt, and F-air can pretty much mess up a Mario who doesn't know how to deal with it.

Also, you can just powershield the fireballs. Apparently you keep running into his ****. You have to be patient when going against a camper.

Yeah I guess I also need to be calm cause he gets me angry too I just realized he starts talking alot and I lose focus and do stupid things...He's the only mario I have this problem with I usually win all my matches with other Mario players.
