FC6/FCD remains the best tournaments that were ran, in history. This **** was hype - don't get me wrong - but as tournaments, FC6/FCD remain the best tournaments that were ever ran in terms of efficiency imo. Scale is incomparable though, so that's another dimension of the argument + I wasn't at Apex OR FCD/FC6

MK vs. MK in WFs. Olimar vs. Pikachu/Ice Climbers (probably Ice Climbers) in LSF.

Nietono beats ESAM 3-0.
I'm surprised he didn't stay Pika.

I'm not surprised esam went IC game 3 at all. Isn't Pika/Oli bad for Pika? By the end of the first stock, Nietono DLed the MU and Esam.

It used to be considered an "autopilot and win" match-up.

howd kadaj do in singles? any marths make it to the finals brackets?
yes mr. r, leon, and mikehaze made it to the final bracket. Leon got 33rd (lost to somebody and gnes), Mr. R lost to Kakera and Brood and got 17th. Mike was the last marth standing, but he lost to adhd in losers (and i think will in winners)

ESAM doesnt get to practice the MU with either character at all, and doubt he knows it. I agree that its understandable to go with the safer bet, even if Nieotono knows ICs.
